Captain Marvel Oscars TV Spot May Have Given Away a Major Spoiler

Captain Marvel Oscars TV Spot:

Captain Marvel is running its final marketing stage right now, and there are talks about the film all around. Surprisingly, this is a film that is also surrounded by negative publicity as well because of certain comments that Brie Larson has made against “White Males.”

But there are positive reactions towards the film as well since people got the opportunity to watch the film during the Early Screenings. This film has been claimed as a big surprise package, but unfortunately, some of those surprises are getting leaked and revealed with Marvel’s own Marketing campaign.

Just recently, Annette Bening’s character was revealed to be Supreme Intelligence. We even got a trailer telling us her true identity, but something is fishy around the character that Bening is playing in the film. According to a previous report from We Got This Covered, Bening’s Supreme Intelligence actually changes forms when talking to different people. Supreme Intelligence appears as the person that is in the head of the one it is conversing with.

Spoiler Alert.

So, in Carol’s case, it is going to be her mother. This was just a thought out theory before that Bening actually has a second role in the movie, i.e. of Carol’s mother. And now looking at the new TV Spot released at the Oscars, this hint that we had has been converted into a confirmation. We know that Jude Law is playing Yon Rogg, and Anette Bening is playing Carol’s Mother.

So, if Bening is technically not Supreme Intelligence and Carol’s mother, then we have to imagine that she will be some big character, and the word around suggests that she is MCU’s version of Mar-Vell. A plot leak that came from Comicbookcast2 has actually revealed Bening as Carol’s Mother and she will be the one who saves Carol at a particular point in the movie.

Well, if this turns out to be true (and it probably will), we can admit the fact that we actually know quite a lot about the film before it has even come out. Hopefully, this film will rise above all the negativity that currently surrounds it, and will deliver a great & compelling story.

If you think about it, this is a project that is kinda under a lot of mess. There has been a big plot leak that has been mentioned above, the post-credits scenes of the movie have also leaked and people’s interest from the film is constantly coming down. This is the first MCU film that has been standing on such shaky grounds.

Let’s just wait and see what the reviews will tell us when the Embargo officially lifts on March 5. They may be the only thing that can save the film. Captain Marvel is certainly going to be the strongest MCU hero and Brie Larson gave us a tease of how her character is a unique individual as compared to other Superheroes of the MCU. Here’s what she told EW:

“You have this Kree part of her that’s unemotional, that is an amazing fighter and competitive. Then there’s this human part of her that is flawed but is also the thing that she ends up leading by. It’s the thing that gets her in trouble, but it’s also the thing that makes her great. And those two sides warring against each other is what makes her her.”

Larson went on to talk about what really attracted her to take on this role. She mentioned that the in-depth dynamic of the role was the one that latched her on to being Marvel’s strongest hero. She said:

“That is something that is really exciting to me about this film: We did not cut corners on that stuff. Like, when it’s funny, it is funny, but also when there’s deep emotional things happening, it’s real. So I was able to bring some of those same things that I’ve brought to full dramatic roles into this, which I’m really proud of because I think it will really set this film apart.”

Captain Marvel comes out on March 8.
