Game of Thrones Season 8 is going to premiere on HBO this April and we will finally get to see who gets to sit on the Iron Throne when all things are done and dusted. The show is in its final stage of post-production as all the visual effects and soundtracks must be coming together. We got to see the first teaser of the show just a little while ago. Now, this trailer did tease an actual twist, which has been theorized by many people, i.e. Brandon Stark may be Night King himself. But apart from that and the Stark reunion, we didn’t get any actual footage from the show. So, we are yet to see some footage from the final season and that may be released by March with a new trailer.
Game of Thrones is known for its sudden twists and turns, and this is why people actually love the show so much. They have invested a lot of their time into the story and the characters that the show has built and killed over the years, and now everyone is waiting for the final pay off.
The cast members have hinted that it is a very sorrowful ending that’s gonna be bestowed upon us, but we do expect that from a show that has killed off so many of our favorite characters just like that. Some people may still not be over the death of Ned Stark.
Well, we know that the ending of the show is going to be pretty thrilling, all things considered. So it’d be too bad if someone spoiled it for us. But, the close relatives of Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark on the show know how the show is going to end. Turner has, in fact, spoiled it for a few people that know her well. While talking to W Magazine, she revealed that she is not the best at keeping these big secrets. Here’s the conversation that happened between them:
“W: Are you scared of keeping big secrets like that?
Sophie Turner: Terrified. I’m so bad at keeping secrets. I don’t think people tell me things anymore because they know that I can’t keep them. I’ve already told the ending of Game of Thrones to a few people.
W: Were you drunk?
Sophie Turner: Nope, sober. I was like, ‘Hey, if you want to know, I’ll tell you.’ But it’s people that I know, not random people. It’s people that I know will keep the secret.”

Well, this may prove that the Jonas brothers and Priyanka Chopra would be aware of how the show ends, so in the next press conference or interview that Chopra participates, you know what you have to ask about!
Filming the show has been really hard for the cast members, as things must have gotten very tiring. Here’s what Kit Harrington had to say about ending the final season:
“The last season of Thrones seemed to be designed to break us. Everyone was broken at the end. I don’t know if we were crying because we were sad it was ending or if we were crying because it was so fucking tiring. We were sleep deprived. It was like it was designed to make you think, Right, I’m fucking sick of this. I remember everyone walking around towards the end going, ‘I’ve had enough now. I love this, it’s been the best thing in my life, I’ll miss it one day – but I’m done.’”
The final season of the show will be a grand spectacle that will be worth the wait. HBO chief Richard Plepler assured that the season will not have any shortage of epic moments. Here’s what he said:
“It’s a spectacle. The guys have done six movies. The reaction I had while watching them was, ‘I’m watching a movie.’ They knew the bar was high. They’ve exceeded the bar. I’ve watched them twice without any CGI and I’m in awe. Everybody’s in for an extraordinary treat of storytelling and of magical, magical production.”
Game of Thrones Season 8 will premiere on April 14.
