There have been a lot of things and theories around one thing from the movie Avengers Infinity War and that is none other than the famous Thanos snap and finally we have an official name for it and fans are absolutely glad and quite impressed with this one.
A lot of jaws dropped in the theaters when we saw Thanos doing that snap in front of Thor with Stormbreaker in his chest. The scene was really incredible. We have to say that the directors couldn’t film that scene any better because it is simply one of the greatest scenes in the MCU.
But, since then we haven’t been able to find any better name for such a great thing and we should name it because it is really one of the best and most talked about things of the MCU. Well, now we have a name for it and we’re not talking about the ones floating on the internet like ‘The Snappening’ or ‘The Snap’.
Recently, the prelude comic of Avengers MCU released and the people who were there in the event will surely know the name given to the Thanos Snap. Well, the name is ‘The Decimation’ and the meaning of this word is ‘The removal of a tenth’ which if we see has no direct relevance to the snap.
But, for some the name of the snap, The Decimation is really interesting and for some, it’s nothing more than just a word. But, we can clearly see that the influence of the snap is really huge as we now have a name for it. Moving from this, I still think that the name is simply a secondary factor in front of its impact which was huge.
We all know that because of the Decimation, we simply lost half of the universe as it turned into dust in front of our eyes and was really scary. But, we have to say that the cost of having soul stone was very-very-very big as he sacrificed Gamora in the movie Infinity War.
Also, there was a lot of physical damage to Thanos and it has been revealed by Russo Brothers who are the directors of Infinity War during a Q&A session after the screening of Infinity War recently as someone asked the question of what cost Thanos paid in order to get the soul stone?
It was Joe Russo who quickly explained and stated the cost Thanos paid in order to get his hands on the soul stone and sacrificing Gamora wasn’t the only price he paid. Joe said,
“It’s evident,” Joe explained. “His daughter is an emotional price, but the physical price is – you’ll see it if you pause your DVD – right before he uses it to go back into the portal away from Thor while he’s got the ax in his chest, his arm is burnt to a crisp. So the physical price is the extreme power that it took to enact his plan, he paid for physically, and when he sits down on the steps at the end of the movie you can see that it actually carries up into his neck and onto his face.”
Well, we have to say that fans are really excited for ‘Avengers 4’ and they really want to see what is going to happen in the movie to Thanos and also in what state he is in, post the snap. There are a lot of characters coming in this movie and this is the reason why the movie is going to be the biggest movie of the MCU.
With a lot of theories on the internet, we all are really excited as we want to see which theory is going to make its way into the movie or we are going to see something completely different.
