The new Avengers trailer began with the aftermath of the battle of Titan as it shows us Tony Stark trying to make it home in the Benatar, and survive as long as possible with the lack of resources that he and probably Nebula have come across. Tony Stark has a big role to play in Avengers 4, so we know that he will be saved from dying in space. But how that is going to happen remains to be an unsolved mystery. A new Avengers: Endgame theory has come out suggesting the most logical way in which Tony Stark and Nebula could be saved from dying in Space.
There are theories out there which suggest that Tony could be saved by Thor as he has his new Bifrost weapon. Or he could be picked up by the likes of Captain Marvel or Valkyrie, but there’s clearly no connection in that. As we saw in the trailer, that Tony hasn’t been able to send a message back to Earth in any way. So neither of the ways mentioned above actually make sense. But one thing that the trailer has already hinted is the fact that Pepper will be the one to save Tony Stark.
We have already seen through the set photos that have shown that Pepper will be donning her Rescue armor and taking up the iconic Superhero persona from the comics. Since the name of her Armor is Rescue it is obvious that she will be involved in saving Tony Stark. But how exactly will Pepper be able to do that, given that Tony is adrift in space and she has no clue of where he is. A Reddit user named dresudi has come up with a theory that suggests that Pepper will be assisted by Rocket, who is the only one on Earth that can track the Benatar.
Here’s what the Redditor says:
“At the end of Infinity War, Rocket doesn’t know the fate of the remaining Guardians on Titan. I think at the beginning of Endgame, he will be trying to find the Guardians by tracking their ship, the Benatar, and he’ll successfully locate it.
The problem is that he doesn’t currently have a ship because he travelled to Earth via the Bifrost. I think that when he asked the Avengers for a ship, they will direct him to Stark enterprises. I think he will then meet Pepper, who is also trying to find Tony and both of them will travel to space together via a Stark space ship. They’ll then find Tony (and maybe Nebula) in the Benatar and bring them back to Earth. Pepper will of course be wearing her “Rescue” armor that we see in the leaks.
We will then see an emotional moment where Rocket learns of the Guardians demise from Tony.”
At the core of his theory, the redditor seems to be correct as this is the only thing that makes sense. We have seen that Iron Man’s nanotech armors have the ability to survive in the harshest conditions. So, we can assume that Pepper’s Rescue armor may be functional in space. With Rocket’s help, Stark Industries could also come up with a spaceship. We should also not forget that Wakanda’s tech is ahead of every other place on Earth, so they could also be of help in designing a spaceship.
Rocket and Pepper have to be the ones that save Tony, and hopefully, the next trailer will clear this for us. Avengers: Endgame comes out on April 26. Here’s the official Synopsis of the movie:
