The opening scene of the movie ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ was almost the dream scene for all of us as having Hulk and Thanos in front of each other is what we all wanted to see. But, it has been revealed by the Avengers 4 Prelude Comic that Thanos did use the Power stone and it is simply the contradicting statement of what Russo Brothers said.
The fight between Thanos and Hulk was simply incredible but was short and it almost divided the whole fan base of Marvel into two sides as some were claiming that Thanos used the Power Stone in order to fight with Hulk because Hulk can beat him up.
But, there were a lot of people who obviously are not much of the Hulk fans were saying that Thanos didn’t. Their argument weighed more back then because Russo Brothers also stated that Thanos didn’t use the Power Stone during an interview with the Collider earlier this year. They said,
“I would say that he’s Thanos just that powerful. You didn’t see him actively use the Power Stone in that fight,” Joe Russo added. “I think ultimately, the way we looked at that fight and the way talked about it with our stunt team when we were executing it was Hulk is obviously very powerful, but he’s a little mindless in his fighting style. It’s aggressive, it’s pummeling.”
Joe Russo also stated something about the impact of Thanos’ powers in the world of superheroes and he also praised the villain as many people out there think that he is nothing without the Infinity Gauntlet but they might have forgotten the fact that not everyone can handle the powers of the Infinity Gauntlet.
So, in order to state the situation of the Mad-Titan in the mind of the viewers, it was Joe who stated some abilities of Thanos as he is really a skilled fighter and we have seen it in his fight against Hulk that he is really quick and has lots of techniques. He said,
“Thanos is the Ghengis Kahn of the universe, he’s a very skilled fighter, equally as strong. So when you put those two up against each other, the more skilled fighter is going to win ultimately. Which is why Hulk has a moment where he overpowers Thanos, but ultimately Thanos is smart,”.
But, it seems either there is a lie or a mistake because in the artwork by talented artist Paco Diaz in the Avengers 4 Prelude comic, it is being claimed that Thanos used the Power Stone during his fight against Hulk. We have also seen that Thanos uses the Power Stone in order to torture Thor.
But, the real reason of torturing the Odinson was that he wants to convince Loki that handing the Tesseract to him is a far better option as if he doesn’t do that then he is going to see the skull of his brother getting crushed by his hands.
So, now the question arises that whether it has been a mistake in the comics or Russo Brothers simply forgot to mention it and were confused and gave a statement like that. But, we have to say that both in comics and in the movie, the fight has been shown in the best way possible.
The cartoonist Dono Sanchez-Almara is the one who has done all the coloring thing of this comic and we have to say that the comic is really beautiful and the coloring is really amazing. Also, the fight was really amazing in the comics and it’s sad seeing Hulk in such a condition.
Well, we all know that Hulk is going to make a kind of a comeback in the movie Avengers 4 and we all are really excited to see the movie because seeing Hulk who many of us will admit is the most powerful Avenger (Start the debate in the comments section below) in such a condition is rare.
