New Green Arrow has been revealed finally from the makers of Arrow Season 7 and this person seems to be quite close to Oliver Queen. Though Oliver Queen was imprisoned for most of this season, we found him out of there in the recent episode and now, he’s preparing himself for the upcoming threats of this season.
There is a new Green Arrow who is taking care of the Star City and its people but it seems like the latest episode has given rise to a lot of questions than answers. We all know that in most of the Season 7, we all were assuming the identity of new Green Arrow amidst all confusion among the Team Arrow to be the son of Oliver Queen, William Queen.
Everyone thought William has come from the future and is walking in the footsteps of his dad and is the Green Arrow if we talk about the flashbacks we are having in the whole season. But, there is a very big twist in the identity of Green Arrow as the person behind the mask is the half-sister of Oliver Queen, named Emiko Queen.
The role has been portrayed by Sea Shimooka in the show. It was revealed in the latest episode of Arrow season 7, episode 8 ‘Unmasked’. Well, the name of the character isn’t clearly mentioned but we all know who she is as fans of comics will surely know her. Also, the mid-season premiere of Arrow Season 7 was earlier titled ‘My Name is Emiko Queen’ but was later changed to ‘Shattered Lives’.
Well, if we take the point where ‘Unmasked’ was ended, we can clearly say that Robert Queen is the father of Emiko Queen and thus is the half-sister of Oliver Queen. There will be many fans out there who didn’t know about the relationship these two characters share in the comics and for those, I want to disclose that in the comics, Emiko Queen is the daughter of Shado and Robert Queen.
But as we all know that there is no indication in the Arrowverse that Shado is the mother of Emiko, hence, there are huge chances that the mother of Emiko will be someone else and will be revealed in Arrow 2019.
Also, in the comics, it has been stated that Komodo is the guardian of Emiko and also the one who trained her in the Archery. So, as a result of this, there are chances that the only reason of her appearance in the show at this point of time is that she has finally discovered her parents and also know about the superpowers his brother beholds.
Well, not many things are clear yet and it seems like when we all think that the makers of Arrow are going to come up with revelations, they end up bringing some question papers for the fans. With the Arrowverse crossover ‘Elseworlds’ coming very soon, there are chances that we will get the answer to some questions but reports are signaling that we will most likely get the answers on 2019.
The synopsis of the final episode of Arrow is going to be in the hands of Elseworlds and the synopsis of that is already out and is down below:
With Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Barry (guest star Grant Gustin) still stuck in the other’s bodies, both of them get a small lead on John Deegan (Jeremy Davies) and head straight to Gotham City with Supergirl (guest star Melissa Benoist) to figure out why their reality has changed. While there, they had a meet with mysterious and incredibly powerful Kate Kane (guest star Ruby Rose) who provides them with information that leads the group to Arkham Asylum. James Bamford is the one who has directed the episode and also the teleplay of the show has been given by Marc Guggenheim and also the story by Caroline Dries (#709).
