There were many ‘The Flash’ fans out there who wanted to know about the powers of Caitlin’s Killer Frost powers in the show but after the incoming of the latest episode of the Flash ‘The Icicle Cometh’ is out and there are a lot of new revelations about Caitlin and also about the powers she possesses. Also, the true origin of Killer Frost has been revealed.
As we saw in the latest episode of the Flash that all the team members of the Flash are following all and every kind of clue in order to be with Cicada, Caitlin whose role has been played by Danielle Panabaker, Cisco whose role has been portrayed by Carlos Valdes, and Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) tracked down all the possible safehouses where they can find the father of Caitlin and in the end found a safehouse where Thomas Snow (Kyle Secor) has been for so many years.
After finding Thomas Snow, it has been revealed that he had ALS and has also experimented cryogenics in order to cure himself of ALS. With the intake of cryogenics, he became immune from the dangerous ALS but in the process of it he got himself engulfed into some kind of more insane disease and he got to know this after failing to stand up on his feet and falling on the ground.
The big revelation which we got is that when Caitlin was a small kid in her childhood she was also suffering from the same problem of ALS and his father did the same thing as he also gave Caitlin some dosages of cryogenics in order to cure her of all the pain she is getting from ALS. But, in the process of it, Caitlin was the one who got transformed into two personalities and one of those is known as the character of Killer Frost.
There were lighter claims from Cisco back int he last season when they were searching for the vibe powers of Cisco. There were signs that both of them knows that a frost giant is in the body of Caitlin when she was a small child.
As we have seen in the first season of the Flash that because of the explosion of particle accelerator, it has been revealed that even before that also she was Killer Frost. Also, after her encounter with The Thinker, she couldn’t be able to get into the personality of Killer Frost.
Also, the actress who has been playing the role of Caitlin, Panabaker has revealed that this is one of the major characteristics of her character and role in the show. She stated while talking to ComcBook.com,
“I think it’s going to be really important, “You know, toward the end of the season we saw Caitlin try to understand a little bit more of why she disappeared… so I think also this year she’s uncovering some mysteries about Killer Frost and how Killer Frost came to be and we’re going to see her delve into that.”
So, after showing that Caitlin now knows about her Killer Frost image, there are signs that maybe we will see her alter ego coming back into the frame of things in the show.
Also, a lot of questions are on the line about the stage and state of Caitlin’s father as what is happening with him and also what are the things we are going to see him getting involved in. On top of all these things, we are really excited to see what is going to happen with Team Flash with all these things coming up at once.
There are still many people who haven’t watched the latest episode yet and they’ll surely get happy to see something about the most important part of Caitlin’s character in the show as seeing the Killer Frost is the need of the show according to many viewers. The next episode of The Flash is going to come on November 27, ‘O Come, All Ye Faithful’
