Disney Pushing ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ For 10 Additional Categories of Oscar

Avengers: Infinity War:

There will not many people out there who will argue with the fact that MCU has changed the world of superheroes out there at box-office and a lot of credit goes to Disney for that and now they’re eyeing to change the history of superhero movies at Oscars by pushing their 11 entries for different categories in the Oscars.

So, the case is that we all know that Avengers: Infinity War broke numerous records at the time of its release and is still regarded as one of the greatest movies ever to come in the history of Hollywood and also the greatest superhero movie out there as Infinity War was the highest grossing movie of 2018 and was also on the fourth place in the list of all-time highest grossing movies. The budget of the movie was close to $400 million and the business it did was of $2 billion.

So, it’s really hard to outcast a movie who has been the highest grossing movie of the year and also the fourth-highest grossing movie of all-time for one simple reason that it is a superhero movie. The, I don’t think there will many people who go in the favor of this action from Oscars and that’s why I don’t think they’ll not consider the entries Disney is going to send them seriously because the can make a case for themselves.

Marvel superheroes

Now, if we talk about the categories for which they’re going to send their entries are as follows:

Best Director- Joe Russo

Best Adapted Screenplay – Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely

Best Film Editing – Jeffrey Ford, ACE, Matthew Schmidt

Best Cinematography – Trent Opaloch

Best Production Design – Charles Wood – Set Decorator – Leslie A. Pope

Best Costume – Judianna Makovsky

Best Makeup and Hair styling: Janine Thompson, John Blake, and Brian Sipe

Best Visual Effects – Dan Deleeuw, Kelly Port, Russell Earl, and Dan Sudick

Best Sound Mixing – Re-Recording Mixers: Tom Johnson and Juan Peralta – Production Sound Mixer – John Pritchett, CAS

Best Sound Editing – Supervising Sound Editors – Shannon Mills and Daniel Laurie

Best Original Score – Alan Silvestri

Captain Marvel MCU Disney Cruise Line

So, these are the categories for which Disney is going to push their entries and there are chances that they’ll get some Oscars in their hands as some of the entries they’ve given up there are quite impressive and can make a serious point for themselves. Now, if talk about the other movie for which Disney is pushing if somehow they’ll not succeed with Infinity War, is their trump card of ‘Black Panther’ who was simply phenomenal as a movie with least expectations.

In comparison to Infinity War, Black Panther have total entries for 16 categories and some of them are as follows:

Best Picture – Black Panther

Best Director – Ryan Coogler

Best Actor – Chadwick Boseman

Many Supporting Actor Nominations – Michael B. Jordon, Martin Freeman, Winston Duke, and many more from the film

Many Supporting Actresses Nominations – Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, and Angela Bassett.

Incredibles 2 Frozen

There are chances that Disney will try their hand with our successful movie which they had in their hands as movies like Incredibles 2 and also some movies which are still going to come by the end of this year as Mary Poppins Returns and Ralph Breaks the Internet are in there for the release.

Deadpool Thanos Snap Infinity War Kevin Feige

So, there are very high chances that Disney is going to make one of their movies a winner at the Academy Awards. If this happens with a superhero movie than we have to clearly say that Marvel and Disney have simply changed the whole cycle and mentality of Hollywood.

As we all know that there was a time when no one can able to think about a superhero movie collecting a sum of $2 billion, but with time, technology, and story. Both Disney and Marvel mastered their arts and achieved the gigantic success.
