Avengers: Infinity War – Loki Actually Survived in The Fake Avengers Script

Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4 are such massive thriller films that Marvel has had to maintain a lot of secrecy in these films. The creatives behind these two films went to great lengths to keep everything hidden so the audience could get the ultimate experience in the theatres.

Actors like Tom Holland & Mark Ruffalo were not sent the full scripts of these movies, and Marvel actually wrote various versions of fake scripts for the film which were also given to the cast.

Those who wanted to read the full scripts of the movies had to go through it within one sitting. They were locked into secret trailers with no phones or any other kind of devices that would be able to click pictures or record audios or something like that. An instance happened where Vision actor Paul Bettany was allowed to read the script in one such trailer.

A major fact about Bettany that you may not know is that he is very slow at reading being a victim of Dyslexia. His disability doesn’t allow him to read very quickly, so he spent 8-9 hours in a trailer in order to finish reading the script of Avengers: Infinity War, and ultimately, that script turned out to be a fake!

You could only imagine how funny and frustrating it would be for Bettany to find out later that the entire day that he spent on reading the script in one go was all for nothing! These are the extreme lengths to which Marvel goes to in order to prevent any sort of spoiler leaks.

The part of Tom Holland mentioned in his script also turned out to be fake as, until the day of the shoot, Holland actually didn’t know that his character was going to die in the film. His disintegration scene was totally improvised as he was told at the moment of shooting that he will be dusted in the film. So all of “Mr. Stark, I don’t feel so good,” was actually done on the spot by Holland.

Now a new report has come in telling us another one of Marvel’s shenanigans with the fake scripts. To this day, fans are debating whether Loki actually died in Infinity War or was he able to fake his death yet again.

So far, more people believe that Loki did die for real as Tom Hiddleston himself confirmed it. He even mentioned that he has known about Loki’s fate for around 2 years. Here’s what he said at ACE Comic-Con post the release of Infinity War:

“So, I’ve known about that scene for two years. I met with Marvel in May 2016, and they were actually telling me the story of Ragnarok with concept art and images. The Russos came in, and I introduced myself. So, all four of us sat down, and they said this is how Infinity War begins.”

But for other cast & crew members, the death of Loki on the set of Avengers: Avengers: Infinity War was quite shocking. The book called The Art of Avengers: Infinity War’ has recently revealed a bunch of alternate concept arts, but along with that, it has revealed the verdict of Infinity War Executive producer Trinh Tran, who revealed that Loki actually survived in one of the fake scripts.

Here’s what was mentioned in the book coming from Tran:

“We created a version of the script where Loki would get away in an escape pod at the beginning of the movie. When we started shooting that particular sequence, we had crew members who were thoroughly confused. We had to let them know that those were fake versions of the script that they read.”

While we know for sure that Loki will return in Avengers 4, it will be through a flashback sequence set in the past events of The Avengers. Loki is dead in the current timeline and people have to believe that.

For those who are confused because of the reported Loki TV Series that is in development for Disney Play, the events of Avengers 4 are going to alter the timeline, so with that in play, not just the snap, but the death of Loki could also be prevented.

So let’s see what route Marvel will take this time.
