The first look of the film got released on December 22, 2016, by the lead actress Trisha Krishnan on Twitter. The first-look poster got unveiled on Valentine’s day i.e. 14 February 2017 since it is a romantic drama movie. The trailer of the film was launched on August 24, 2018.
The satellite rights of the movie were sold to Sun TV, 96 had a press screening for critics on 1 October 2018, while the theatrical release took place on 4 October. The movie got highly positive reviews after the release out of which some are listed below:
