It all turned dark and there will be complete darkness at the box office for some weeks, as the movie, Venom is winning hearts of the people by sending them in a state of shock with all the fight sequences and deadly scenes of the menace done by this anti-hero. The movie isn’t impressing a lot of critics but the filmmakers don’t really care about it because they didn’t make the film to win awards, the movie was made for winning fans and in that case, the movie is running successfully and is gaining a lot of good reviews from fan sites and fan pages across the world of social media.

The movie isn’t a part of Marvel Cinematic Universe and hence drawn a lot of comparisons to the movies MCU has produced and you’ll be thrilled to witness that it has beaten some of the most famous movies of MCU in terms of opening weekend at the box office.

Venom has beaten Captain America: The First Avenger which made only $65 million, Ant-Man and the Wasp which also made only a sum of $65 million despite having a big fan base with them after the success of the first movie, and Thor also fall a bit down with only $65.7 million in their bucket. So, we can clearly say that Venom is a really a movie which is finding space in the hearts of fans and also tuning well with the brains of Comic Book fans also.

The movie has entered into the rich list of some biggies of the superhero world with its $80 million opening weekend at the box office. With movies like Black Panther ($202 million), Deadpool ($132 million), Man of Steel ($116 million), Spider-Man ($114 million), Wonder Woman ($103 million), Iron Man ($98 million), Guardians of the Galaxy ($94 million), Doctor Strange ($85 million), and X-Men Origins: Wolverine ($85 million). It wasn’t very easy for Sony’s Venom to create a buzz and make a collection of this magnitude but their marketing team and the hard work they put in the movie was massive and hence they’re getting the results they deserve. But, the other thing that came as a big roadblock in their path towards success was the negative comments and reviews they got from the critics all over the world which affects the growth of the movie a little but despite having such negative reviews, the movie still breaks many records and it’s a win for the fans.

Venom MCU The social media is full of a lot of bad reviews about the movie and one of them is from @BrandonDavisBD of famous and reliable website ComicBook.com gave a rating of 2 stars out of 5 and also wrote in his official review of the film,

Venom MCU

“Inevitably, Venom shows clear plans for sequels and expansions, but the studio should take a look at the few bits of Venom which worked and scrap the larger portions which didn’t if they’re going to continue. That said, more of Tom Hardy in this part wouldn’t be the worst thing to come of it.”

But, it’s the fans that ignored all the bad reviews and comments from the critics about the movie and went into the theatres to watch the anti-hero doing a lot of menace. Also, the fan following and stardom of Tom Hardy who is regarded as one of the most versatile and greatest actors of all-time just added a lot in the publicity of the movie. The success of Venom isn’t going to stop soon and if the things will go as per the current scenario then maybe just maybe we’re going to see Venom getting into the world of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man or maybe in the MCU also.
