Here’s Why The Latest Avengers 4 Trailer [IMAX] Rumor is Totally Fake

The latest Avengers 4 trailer rumor has a lot of people excited. Sure you can be excited as the trailer is probably being edited by the Russo brothers, and we may have it out there sooner rather than later. But what you’ve read in the rumor is completely fake as that is so not true. On Tuesday evening, Twitter user @ImAFilmEditor tweeted that the Avengers 4 trailer is going through Digital media remastering aka DMR as he wrote the word “Teaser,” “IMAX,” and “DMR.”

Now, this may not seem like a lot of information especially when it is coming from a twitter account that barely has around 2000 followers. But, the user of this account who goes by the name Vahn has reported similar tweets in the past and he was right about those movies as well. He tweeted once more Tuesday night pointing out the fact that his reports about the recent Star Wars movies trailers were correct as well.

Now sure his tweet might have a teeny-tiny truth, but you just can’t solely believe it! What people interpreted from it was that the Avengers 4 trailer could not be more incorrect. There has been a slew of reports that have claiming that the Avengers 4 trailer is in the process to be converted into IMAX.

Now, how do you think IMAX movies are shot? With specialized IMAX format cameras. And if a film is supposed to release in IMAX, then it is…. you guessed it right, shot with IMAX cameras itself.

So, how will you convert a film that has been shot in IMAX into IMAX! That is just dumb! It has already been shot in its natural form (which is IMAX) and it will need editing to be made fit for regular screens. So, Avengers 4 trailer might be going through DMR, but not for getting converted into IMAX.

And perhaps it is impossible to convert a normally shot film into IMAX as how will a studio add extra scales of imagery to a film from top and bottom. Hollywood has remarkable CGI which can accomplish wonders, but this is just beyond that!

So we may very well get a trailer for Avengers 4 next month, but just don’t believe this IMAX report as it doesn’t make any sense! Here’s what the Russos said about the film when they began the reshoots back in September.

Avengers 4 Russo Brothers

“We’ve worked on the edit all summer and we’re excited to finally get these missing pieces in the film and then we expect to be in post through the fall and winter. We hope to be done by March. It was so gratifying that in a movie with this scope and scale and that wide of an audience that we were able to end with a gut punch and yet the audience stayed with us and found value and kept coming back…”

Avengers 4 writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely also had something to add upon the film:

“Christopher Markus – [Avengers 4] doesn’t do what you think it does. It is a different movie than you think it is…Also…[the deaths are] real. I just want to tell you it’s real, and the sooner you accept that, the sooner you will be able to move on to the next stage of grief.”

Stephen McFeely – Put it this way. I think [Infinity War] is a fairly mature movie for a blockbuster. It’s got a lot of fun in it, obviously, but boy, it gets very mature. The second one is also mature. We’re going to own these choices, and hopefully surprise and delight you and get you invested. It’s by the same studio, the same filmmaking team. They were written at the same time, shot at the same time. They’re clearly connected, but they are definitely two different movies, one of which is dependent on what happened previous.”

We will hopefully get a trailer in November as Disney has 2 other movies, coming out in the name of ‘The Nutcracker and the Four Realms’ and ‘Ralph Breaks the Internet,’ so a trailer for Avengers 4 can be put out with those films as a marketing tool for either of those films and Avengers 4 itself. The film comes out on May 3, 2019.
