One of the most famous and popular actors of all-time, Bradley Cooper has shared his views regarding the ‘Thanos Snap’ at the end of ‘Avengers: Infinity War’. The actor has suggested that the snap was needed to make the film a success, both in terms of financial business and also according to the storyline. Cooper, who has been nominated for Academy Awards on many occasions, suggested that the snap from Josh Brolin (Thanos) was one of the most incredible scenes in the history of MCU.
Bradley Cooper who entered into the world of Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2014 through James Gunn’s masterpiece Guardians of the Galaxy, after he was shortlisted for giving his voice to one of the cutest characters of the MCU ‘Rocket Raccoon’. The character appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and then in the Avengers 3. The popularity and fan following of Rocket Raccoon are seriously immense and also the voice of Cooper has been praised well by the fans across the globe.
‘Infinity War’ was the movie which came in to give the meaning to this long journey of last 10 years, but the gigantic finale which we are going to see will be in next year’s ‘Avengers 4’. Not much has been revealed about the happenings of the next year’s ‘Avengers 4’ but it’s going to be tremendous fun to see what the all the superheroes are going to do in order to reverse the madness the ‘Mad-Titan’ has done.
A lot of theories are on the internet right now and above all of them, there is one and that is the use of the Quantum Realm for the use of time travel. With too many characters going to feature in next year’s mega-film, the fans are absolutely impatient about the film and in the middle of all this havoc, Cooper revealed and expressed his thoughts on Thanos’ incoming and also his famous snap.
Finally, Cooper is going to introduce himself as a director on the big screen as his first film, ‘A Star Is Born’ is going to release soon and while promoting his film Cooper talked to BBC 1 and the questions which came in front of him were regarding his voice acting gig for the character of Rocket Raccoon in the MCU, also he was asked about the events shown at the end of the movie. The actor said,
“Yeah. It was amazing. That’s why that movie works. Thanos is… What a character. The fact that he made you, kind of, go like ‘He’s got a point, right? He’s got a point.’ And part of me is like ‘I’m glad he’s sitting there on his chair, with the sun coming down.’ I mean, I hate that half of the world’s dead, but there’s a part of me that’s like, ‘He succeeded!’ I don’t know what that says about me.”
The one thing we can see in Thanos’ character is the motivation he had in his mission of destroying the universe and we’ve seen it in Infinity War, also the reason he has given in his quest of destroying the world seems to be different than the usual villains who are there to destroy the world because of greed and revenge. The MCU has seen a slight problem with their villains as the villains they’ve produced over the years are underdeveloped and unmemorable in most of the occasions.
We’ve seen the example of it in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ through the villain of Vulture (Michael Keaton) and Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan) from Black Panther. The directors of the movie Joe and Anthony Russo and writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, were able to find a base on which the audience can empathize with a villain like Thanos despite all the menace he has done and the damage he has done to the superheroes.
Rocket was the only Guardian from the team of official Guardians of the Galaxy team who survived that historic and deadly snap of Thanos. So, there are clear indications that he’s going to play a very massive role in next year’s Avengers. There are reports that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is on a long hold after the departure of Gunn from the plans of MCU.
‘Avengers 4’ is scheduled to be released on theatres on May 3, 2019.
