13-Minute Dark Phoenix Clip at NYCC Revealed Daring Space Mission
The path to the hell is covered with good thoughts. New York Comic Con was the place where a 13-minute Dark Phoenix clip was shown in which the team of X-Men travels to Space with a purpose of a rescue mission, but their eternal wish to save humanity from all kinds of problems is the reason that leads to the birth of Phoenix persona of Jean Grey.
Eternal Guardians of Humans
The clip started with a montage of space launch with the cuts of launch and anxious faces of the astronauts as the shuttle took off to space. The launch was simply exceptional and was free form all kinds of problems which we always witness in the scenes of launch. But as soon as they crossed the earth’s atmosphere, the scientists and their whole space team who were in contact with them through their screens just got some glitches and after seconds the view of those panic-stricken astronauts just got off from the screens.
The scene shifted to Charles Xavier’s School for Gifted Mutants’, where we see Charles Xavier and Hank McCoy calmly sitting on their respective seats and watching the launch of that mission on television. The chaos in the space center was clearly visible on the Television and as soon as a reporter claims that there is some mechanical problem in the shuttle, Xavier moves his head towards Hank and asked him about the status of their X-jet, Hank replied that he’s not very much sure on the condition of jet that whether it’s ready for a trip to space or not.
In between their conversation, Xavier’s phone rang in its full voice. Xavier picks up the phone and finds that the President is on the other side of the line. The president called Xavier in order to ask him whether he and his team can save the lives of those astronauts in space, after a look towards Hank and clearly knowing the fact that Hank doesn’t want him to say yes. Xavier said yes to the president.
So, without wasting any further time in discussion the X-Men team got-off to space in their X-jet and the members who went to space were Cyclops, Jean Grey, Quicksilver, Storm, Nightcrawler, and Mystique. The leader of the team Mystique started giving some valuable instructions to the whole team but it was Cyclops who started feeling some qualms over condition of the jet and in the end to end the nervousness in the hearts of the whole team, Mystique admits that the jet hasn’t been tested to go for a mission like this but also stated that things will be fine.
After a lot of discussion between the team, a sense of calm comes into the environment of the jet but as soon as they crossed earth’s atmosphere. What they saw was simply frightening as the shuttle there floating in two pieces but also revolving in circles because of the reason that the thruster of the shuttle was broken in pieces. The X-Men calmed their nerves and started thinking about a plan but things got worse as they saw a solar flare coming towards the direction of the shuttle and all they have is few minutes in order to save the lives of astronauts.
Mystique showed why she’s the leader of the team at that team as she quickly made a plan and asked Nightcrawler to go inside the shuttle but he denied the approach by stating that he can only go to places he has seen. Then, Mystique went to Storm and told her to slow the speed of the shuttle by using her powers. When the speed of the shuttle slows down, Nightcrawler started seeing the things inside of that shuttle and teleported Quicksilver, in less than a second, inside of that shuttle. Magneto’s son then started picking up all the astronauts together and in the end, Nightcrawler teleported all of them to X-jet.
But, things are always weird and messy when humans are around in a mutants’ movie as the astronauts told Mystique that their Captain is still in the Shuttle as their Captain was fixing the thrusters before the entrance of X-Men and is the reason for their Captain’s absence when Quicksilver and Nightcrawler were saving them. The team got shocked for a second as they don’t have a lot of time in their hands.
It was Xavier who insisted Jean through his famous Cerebro that she can hold on to the shuttle who is in a very bad condition so that Nightcrawler can go back inside to save their Captain. But, it was Mystique who wants in the favor of this idea and stopped Jean, the protest stopped after Jean’s lover Cyclops supported Jean and Mystique agreed half-heartily with Xavier and Cyclops’s idea.
A Hapless Obstacle Greeted Them
So finally, after a lot of argument sand tensions, it was Jean and Nightcrawler who went into the shuttle in search for the Captain. While Nightcrawler was looking for the Captain, Jean was trying her best in order to hold the whole shuttle together. After a lot of searches, Nightcrawler finally found the Captain but the search ended just a minutes too late as the solar flare about which Mystique was worried for just hit the shuttle and the moment Nightcrawler realized that he just took the captain teleported back to the shuttle and Jean left behind in the shuttle facing the whole solar flare on herself.
The whole X-Men team was standing in horror as they saw the whole plane turning into pieces by the effect of that solar flare. Things got worse when they recognized that they’re on the target of another solar flare. But, it was Jean who was still in there alive and came into some consciousness in order to realize that the flair is going towards her team’s jet, she quickly changed the path of the solar flare towards her and the flare just hit her for the second time after which she just fainted on the ground.
It was Nightcrawler who teleported in space and took Jean back to the jet. Every person in the jet was horrified by seeing the condition of Jean but it was Cyclops who went quickly down on the floor towards her and touched her face with the tension of losing her written all over his face. Jean opened her eyes after some minutes and the first thing she asked was if everyone was safe? Cyclops and the whole team replied with the shake of their head and the whole team went back to the earth deploying those astronauts to the space agency.
The mutants were greeted by a lot of humans who were almost their fans after their heroics in the space. All seemed perfect as little kids were also there with blue paint all over their body for giving a tribute to Mystique, Beast, and Nightcrawler. After a great time with unlikely praise form the humans, mutants went straight back to their real home (Xavier’s School).
Charles Xavier praised the whole team and also stated that President is really happy and had extended his gratitude for all the mutants who risked their life for saving humans. In order to celebrate the great historic day when humans praised the mutants by coming out on roads, Xavier dismisses all the classes of that day and told Hank to do a medical checkup of all the mutants who went there in space.
But Mystique who wasn’t convinced with the plan of sending Jean and Nightcrawler in the shuttle went to Xavier in his office to inform him about the events that happened in the space and about which he and the whole world doesn’t know anything.
Mystique said that she thought that Xavier will never risk the lives of his fellow mutants in order to satisfy his ego, to get praise from the President, and to get some pictures featured on top of some magazines. Xavier tried his best to convince Mystique that this isn’t the case but the angry-mystique left the room and stated that he should change the name of the team form, X-Men to X-Women as it’s clearly visible that they’re doing a lot of rescue missions nowadays.
