Carol Danvers’ new look has been revealed after the official poster has arrived form Marvel Studios. Brie Larson is playing the role of Captain Marvel and is looking red-hot in her new costume and with his new look on the internet and winning hearts again. The evolution of Carol Danvers has been amazing as she appeared for the very first time in 1968 issue of Marvel Super-Heroes #13 and was a Security Chief for the United States Air Force and had no superpowers until then. She was heavily evolved in an explosion involving a Psyche-Magnetron, which was the Kree technology.
But, despite the explosion Captain Marvel was able to save her life but also had some serious injuries on her body both mentally and physically. Danvers returned in the 1977isseu Ms. Marvel #1, where she now possesses all the powers because the explosion in which she was involved has fused her and Danvers’ genetic structures.
So, we’re not going to jump in a lot of suit history as we’re going to talk about the look of Captain Marvel which is creating shockwaves around the internet. We have to praise the man behind the success and creation of this character as Gerry Conway, played a significant role in the character’s development, writing in his introduction to the series, “You might see a parallel between her quest for identity, and the modern woman’s quest for raised consciousness, for self-liberation, for identity.
Ms. Marvel’s uniform and abilities, however, were derived from the character’s then-contemporary male counterpart: Captain Marvel. The Ms. Marvel letters pages (“Ms. Prints”) featured letters debating whether or not the character was feminist. Reader (and frequent letter hack) Jana C. Hollingsworth took issues with Ms. Marvel’s entire origin. “For the eleven years I’ve been a comics fan, I’ve been proud of how Marvel resisted the temptation to create male-based heroines. It’s been proudly proclaimed that Ms. Marvel is not Marvel Girl; well, maybe the early Marvel Girl did have weak power and an insipid personality.
With Captain Marvel’s incoming only a matter of months and her new suit presenting her even more powerful. If we take a look towards the abilities she possessed as Danvers initially possessed superhuman strength, endurance, stamina, flight, physical durability, a limited precognitive “sixth-sense”, and perfectly amalgamated human/Kree physiology that rendered her resistant to most toxins and poisons.
As Binary, the character could tap the energy of a “white hole”, allowing full control and manipulation of stellar energies, and therefore control over heat, the electromagnetic spectrum and gravity, light speed travel and the ability to survive in the vacuum of space were also possible.
Although the link to the white hole was eventually severed, Danvers retains her binary powers on a smaller scale, enabling her to both absorb energy and project it in photonic form. She can also still survive in space. While she lacks a constant source of energy to maintain the abilities at their previous cosmic levels, she can temporarily assume her Binary forms if empowered with high enough infusion of energy.
She also demonstrates the ability to absorb other forms of energy, such as electricity, to further magnify her strength and energy projection, up to the force of an exploding nuclear weapon. When sufficiently augmented, she can withstand the pressure from a 92-ton weight, and strike with a similar level of force, although Hank Pym theorized that this-this likely wasn’t her limit.
Danvers cannot absorb magical energy without consequence, though she aided Doctor Strange in the defeat of the mystic menace Sir Warren Traveler. Carol Danvers is also an exceptional espionage agent, pilot, hand-to-hand combatant, and marksman.
So, with all these powers in her pocket, the fans are getting excited to see the first female solo superhero movie form MCU and no wonder the comparisons will be made with Wonder Woman of DCEU. But, the hype is already there for the female superhero and now all she needs to rule the box office is to have a good connected storyline and also something about the upcoming and the biggest movie of MCU “Avengers 4”. With Captain Marvel releasing on March 8, 2019, in IMAX and 3D, and Avengers 4 releasing on May 3, 2019, in IMAX and 3D.
“Writing is one of my strengths and all I can say is that I observe things and try my best in order to convert them into words without the pressure of satisfying people’s demands.”
