The Venom Trailer Has Revealed Yet Another Villainous Symbiote

Venom is the next Superhero movie in focus after we are done with the quota of the MCU and Fox Marvel movies for this year. Sony is also trying to pick up their pace and cash in this on-going Superhero hype train where every Superhero movie is making a whole lot of money and exciting fans to the fullest. If you look at the stats, out of the Top 5 highest grossing movies of this year, 4 of them are actually Superhero movies so you could imagine why every studio wants to invest in the Superhero genre.

With venom, things are looking great as people’s optimism has been converted into full on excitement after the release of the brand new trailer last night. The trailer revealed a whole lot of plot details for the film and we got to know what all is in story for us this October. As we all know, Venom will have a different origin story this time around as the Symbiote will directly bond with Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock instead of Peter Parker at first.

In the beginning, people thought that Carnage was going to be the big bad in the film, but different things were revealed a while ago, and now the trailer has confirmed all that. The movie has been reported to adapt the classic 90’s Marvel comics based on Lethal Protector storyline that sees Eddie Brock becoming a hero in San Francisco. Still, elements of the movie will obviously be altered so that the story fits better on the big screen.  Here’s everything you need to know before you watch the movie:

“Before the story begins, Venom makes an agreement with Spider-Man that they will leave each other alone, on the condition that Venom commits no crimes. Venom then moves from New York City to San Francisco and takes up with a group of Californian mole people. Shortly thereafter the father of one of Venom’s victims seeks him out with a group of super-powered mercenaries to take revenge. Spider-Man, seeing misleading coverage of Venom on television, heads to San Francisco to confront him and instead winds up fighting alongside Venom against five new offspring of the Venom Symbiote: Scream, Rage, Riot, Lasher, and Agony.”

It was recently announced that Riz Ahmed who plays Carlton Drake, the owner of the Life Foundation in the movie would be playing one of the evil Symbiotes, Riot in the film. This trailer gives us the first look at Ahmed’s big villain who seems to be beating the crap out of Venom.

Venom Trailer

While we know that Ahmed will be the big villainous Riot in the film, there are obviously more symbiotes which will be involved in the movie and go against Tom Hardy’s Venom. In the previous trailers, we saw that there are multiple Symbiotes involved as Carlton Drake recovered more than one Symbiote from the crash site. As mentioned in the above description of this movie’s inspiration, there are four more Symbiotes which will be revealed in the movie which are called: Scream, Rage, Lasher, and Agony.

In the new trailer, we got a look at a Yellow Symbiote which is probably going to be ‘Scream’. Venom is going to be Black, Riot, as we saw, was in grey, and Scream is going to be yellow, and this particular symbiote is going to bond with a woman named Donna Diego (according to the comics). Scream made her debut in the Lethal Protector Storyline and she bonded to a security guard of the Life Foundation named Donna Diego in order to overlook the company’s new Utopia. While she was the leader of the Symbiotes at first in the comics, she later went against them after realizing that all other Symbiotes are ultimately evil.

So it seems that she is gonna go on the same path in the movie, and may team up with Tom Hardy’s Venom towards the end since Venom would be hilariously out-numbered fighting against 5 other Symbiotes.

Venom will hit the theatres on October 5, 2018 and it is going to star Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Scott Haze, Jenny Slate, Riz Ahmed, Reid Scott and Woody Harrelson.
