The Flash is by far the cringiest and yet the most money making cash cow of The CW’s Arrowverse shared Superhero TV Universe. They may have tread into the silly and the stupid but there are still scores of fans that do watch it just for the heck of it and the fun element that is the primary USP of the show. With the Thinker finally dealt with and The Flash ending with yet another explosive Dead End, Season 5 is something the whole world is looking forward to. After Reverse Flash, Zoom, Savitar and the Thinker, the next villain in line to act as the thorn in The Flash’s Central City Race Track is reportedly Cicada, a villain with the ability to give as well as steal superpowers. How will The Scarlett Speedster deal with a guy who can literally take his speed away? Cicada, in the comics, is the leader of a cult that follows his every command. They will cut and bleed everyone for him. Cicada had an army in the comic books. Will he have one in the show as well??
The First two episodes do not give us any information about Cicada though. The Season 4 of The Flash ended with Nora Allen visiting her parents to tell them about something. That “Something” was a mistake she reveals to have done in the future. But what mistake?? She has decided to break her father’s no time travel rule for some reason and travel to the past to correct her mistake. Something like that gave birth to Flashpoint. Why would Nora Allen break her father’s only time travel rule? There must be something big about to happen. The episode names of the first two in the series for Season 5 of The Flash certainly point to this fact.

However, with the arrival of Barry and Iris’ speedster daughter, Nora, who arrived from the future admitting to having made a “big mistake,” things are anything but status quo. Will parenthood be the challenge that finally slows The Flash down?
The Flash Season 4 also did end up with quite a bang and garnered a lot of mixed reactions on both ends of the review spectrum for the show. The official synopsis for the Flash Season 4, which has already aired its final episode, is:
Running up against an evil time remnant version of yourself is something no one should ever have to do, but that’s exactly what faced Barry Allen (aka The Flash) as he fought to save the life of fiancée Iris West from the God of Speed known as Savitar.
