The Final Trailer For ‘Venom’ Released And It’s Really Venomous

The next Superhero movie we are in pursuit of is the upcoming Venom movie with Tom Hardy in the lead. This seems to be a proper origin story for Venom and it will show Tom Hardy shine as Eddie Brock and the infamous Symbiote. While the two trailers that have released till now have kept fans really optimistic, Sony has now released the third and the final trailer of the movie which has given us the reason as to why we should be really hyped for this film.

From the last 2-3 days, the news about the final trailer for Venom was floating around the internet, and just yesterday, we got an announcement that the trailer is going to be out today. Well, now is our lucky time as Sony just released the final trailer and it is the best thing ever! Have a look:

The Special Effects upon Venom finally look to be sharp and finished. While Venom gets majorly highlighted throughout the trailer, we also get a look at the other Symbiotes in the trailer which confirms the fact that Venom is going to take on Multiple Symbiotes in the movie.

The movie has been reported to adapt the classic 90’s Marvel comics based on Lethal Protector storyline that sees Eddie Brock becoming a hero in San Francisco. Still, elements of the movie will obviously be altered so that the story fits better on the big screen.  Here’s everything you need to know before you watch the movie:

“Before the story begins, Venom makes an agreement with Spider-Man that they will leave each other alone, on the condition that Venom commits no crimes. Venom then moves from New York City to San Francisco and takes up with a group of Californian mole people. Shortly thereafter the father of one of Venom’s victims seeks him out with a group of super-powered mercenaries to take revenge. Spider-Man, seeing misleading coverage of Venom on television, heads to San Francisco to confront him and instead winds up fighting alongside Venom against five new offspring of the Venom Symbiote: Scream, Rage, Riot, Lasher, and Agony.”

Riz Ahmed Venom movie

It was recently announced that Riz Ahmed who plays Carlton Drake, the owner of the Life Foundation in the movie would be playing one of the evil Symbiotes, Riot in the film. This trailer gives us the first look at Ahmed’s big villain who seems to be beating the crap out of Venom.

In his recent interview at SDCC with Entertainment Weekly, Ahmed revealed that what exactly separates his villain from the other villains that have been a part of the previous Comic book movies. He said:

“Well my character is a billionaire industrialist, he’s an inventor, he’s a bit of a genius, and he’s really interested in trying to find a future for humanity as we face ecological collapse and war. For him, the solution lies in colonizing other planets. So it’s actually a kind of search for another suitable habitat for humanity, that leads him to the Symbiotes.”

He continued to talk about his character, and he touched upon the situation of playing a villain in a movie where there is actually no Superhero involved. He added:

“No one thinks that they are the bad guy, that’s the reality,” the actor said. “People do crazy things, terrible things, but in their mind they justify it. They think that they’re helping the world, helping the other person, helping themselves, they justify it in their own ways. So, for me, when I’m playing a character like Carlton Drake, I’m sure you’ll think I’m crazy but I totally understand what he’s doing and why he’s doing it. He’s trying to serve humanity and he just thinks that he’s best placed to do that and he wants to find a future for the human race. And of course, as the most rich, powerful, successful, intelligent member of the human race, he should be at the center of that future as well. So, I think I’m playing the good guy, but that’s sort of what everyone thinks.”

Other Symbiotes were only teased in the trailer, and it is good that the trailer did not reveal everything else. It seems to be full of dark venomous humor and we as fans would love this version of Venom as he will be the comic accurate Venom that we all have always wanted to see in the movies.

Venom will hit the theatres on October 5, 2018, and it is going to star Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Scott Haze, Jenny Slate, Riz Ahmed, Reid Scott and Woody Harrelson
