Who Is The “Mysterious Buyer” of Hank Pym’s Quantum Technology?

Ant-Man and Wasp has just released in major markets and getting a positive reception from fans and critics. But there is a feeling that it missed the mark and may not be a huge blockbuster like Black Panther and Infinity War this year.

The movie is set after the events of the Civil War created huge fissures between the Avengers. They were divided into two camps – Team Iron Man and Team Cap and Ant-Man joined the latter. He fought hard but in the end captured by the authorities. He had an opportunity to flee but he accepted the plea deal offered by the government. In addition to being a superhero, he also has to take care of his little daughter.

A new mission from Hank Pym came calling and he had to go inside the Quantum realm again to retrieve Janet Van Dyne stuck in the sub-atomic ream for decades. This time he is not alone as Hope Van Dyne aka Wasp is also suiting up and going with him. We know that the villain/anti-hero is Ghost (Hannah John-Kammen) who is a surrogate daughter of Dr. Bill Foster played by Lawrence Fishburne.

But there is another bad guy named Sonny Burch (Walton Goggins) who wants to steal Pym’s quantum technology. Have we ever wondered who might be the mysterious buyer for the tech? Well, according to a credible source namely DanielRPK, it is none other than Norman Osborne.

There is another theory that the buyer of Avengers towers in Spiderman: Homecoming was Oscorp Industries run by him. It would’nt be far fetched to think that Marvel would like to bring other Spiderman characters into the MCU in the future. Here’s what Daniel said:

“I think that because I heard Marvel asked Sony not to use Norman in one of the Spidey Spin-Offs. Meaning they want to use him themselves”.

Well, Evangeline Lilly drew parallels between Lost season 4 and MCU’s journey till now and she was totally bang on. She said:

“When I heard about Infinity War and the direction that they’re heading, I did have this moment of realizing, oh, wow, there’s a bit of a déjà vu for me with the Lost franchise. We are hitting that Lost Season 4 space where everything’s about to shift, and you’re about to lose the solid ground underneath you. And Ant-Man and the Wasp, of course, will play a part in that. Those characters are experts in the quantum realm. In Ant-Man and the Wasp, they are trying everything in their power to safely enter the Quantum Realm and return back from it because they have evidence from the first film that Scott Lang was able to do that. If he can do it, why can’t we? If we do succeed in Ant-Man and the Wasp, then that does open a whole entire new multi-verse to enter into and play around in. I’m not the story creator, so I can’t tell you what they’re going to do with that. But I definitely see the potential there.”

As far as post-credits are concerned, they are truly amazing and vidicated Paul Rudd’s comments in a recent interview:

“People have asked me about [Ant-Man and The Wasp] and this, I don’t know if I’m supposed to say it but I’ll say it, it happens kind of concurrently. It’s very important because it doesn’t exist in a vacuum. You have to stay through the end because when you see this thing, through those post-credit scenes, there’s mind-blowing stuff that ties into Infinity War.”

The movie ensemble cast comprise of some of the biggest names including Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/ Ant-Man, Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne/ Wasp, Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, Michelle Pfieffer as Janet Van Dyne, Lawrence Fishburne as Dr. Bill Foster, Judy Greer as Maggie (Scott’s former wife), Michael Pena as Luis, Abby Ryder Fortson as Cassie (Scott’s daughter), Walton Goggins as Sonny Burch, Hannah John-Kammen as Ghost, Randall Park as Jimmy Woo.
