Avengers: Infinity War – Kevin Feige Reveals Whether Animals Died After The Big Snap

Avengers: Infinity War began the culmination of the MCU as we know it. After 18 big movies in the MCU, we arrived to the biggest crossover event that has ever taken place in the MCU and it is easy to say that this movie blew everyone away like little grenades. People came into the movie with so many questions, and while some of them got answered, they actually left the theatres with more questions than they had before. It was stunning and the big snap towards the end was as shocking as a movie could get.

Avengers: Infinity War

The Mad Titan Thanos finally got off his chair and showed us why he is the biggest villain of the MCU. This Galactic Warlord made his presence felt in the biggest way possible. He was a true villain in every sense and the reason why he was the biggest villain of all was because he actually came out victorious at the end of the day, causing a Universal catastrophe. It was the first time we saw the Avengers lose to someone. People expected Thanos to somehow escape at the end when they went into the movie as Avengers 4 also had to be set up, but no one in this world would have thought the impact that would have come at the end.

Thanos fulfilled his life’s goal which was to bring balance to the Universe by causing half the population of the entire Universe to turn to dust. His motivations were understandable and what he proposed was justified, but it cannot come at the cost of the lives of half the people living in the entire Universe. After collecting all the Infinity Stones, Thanos did manage to bring the balance that he desired to the Universe, but it all came at a price which he was willing to pay right from the beginning.

But from what saw in the movie, we only got to see the Supers and the normal people get disintegrated. Other than them, we did not see any other life form turn to dust, so the question that arises here and has been in our minds since Infinity War is that did animals also die during the Snap moment? The Animal population in the entire Universe is much more than human population, so were they also victims of this catastrophe.

Well, the answer to this has been given by the president of Marvel Kevin Feige and it is what you may have expected.  Birth.Movies.Death asked him this particular question and here’s what he replied:

“Yes! Yes. All life.”

The snap in itself was huge but what made it even bigger was seeing all the people get turned into dust right in front of our eyes. We actually saw how it affected the normal world which gave us a feeling of how things would have turned to chaos in the entire Universe. Director Joe and Anthony Russo were also asked about this particular question and here’s the reason they gave choosing the human response to Thanos’ actions rather than ending the film with the snap:

“It was always a plan to show beyond that because when we made the decision to have the snaps themselves, that’s a plot trick to cut to black after an incident like that happens. And it doesn’t give you any emotional resonance or catharsis. What he said thinking about it realistically; the true heartbreak doesn’t lie in the fact that he snapped his fingers, it lies in the fact that people have to watch loved ones, and we have to watch characters that we care about die. And that’s where the real heartbreak lies for the characters who live in the Universe and for those of us watching the movie.”

Avengers: Infinity War was huge, but Avengers: 4 will literally blow us away. It comes out on May 3, 2019 and here’s the official Synopsis:

“A culmination of 22 interconnected films, the fourth installment of the Avengers saga will draw audiences to witness the turning point of this epic journey. Our beloved heroes will truly understand how fragile this reality is and the sacrifices that must be made to uphold it.”
