Venom Director Reveals Whether Spider-Man Has A Cameo In The Movie

Sony’s big project of this year is going to be Tom Hardy’s Venom. Since Sony is sharing Spider-Man with the MCU, they are looking to put their other characters to use and attain a full efficiency of everything they own into the trending Superhero Genre. We have seen two trailers till now. The first one teased the plot of the movie and did not really reveal anything big from the movie. The ultimate story trailer that gave us a good look at the movie came a while ago, and we could not have asked for anything more.

As we know, the movie is going to change the origin story of Venom. Originally, the Venom Symbiote bonds with Peter Parker aka Spider-Man at first, and then absorbing those powers, it goes on to bond with Eddie Brock, but instead in this movie we are going to see that Brock is the first one that the Venom Symbiote gets attached to, and together they two become the anti-hero we all know as Venom.

The movie was reported to adapt the classic 90’s Marvel comics based on Lethal Protector storyline that sees Eddie Brock becoming a hero in San Francisco. Still, elements of the movie will obviously be altered so that the story fits better on the big screen.  Here’s everything you need to know before you watch the movie:

“Before the story begins, Venom makes an agreement with Spider-Man that they will leave each other alone, on the condition that Venom commits no crimes. Venom then moves from New York City to San Francisco and takes up with a group of Californian mole people. Shortly thereafter the father of one of Venom’s victims seeks him out with a group of super-powered mercenaries to take revenge. Spider-Man, seeing misleading coverage of Venom on television, heads to San Francisco to confront him and instead winds up fighting alongside Venom against five new offspring of the Venom Symbiote: Scream, Phage, Riot, Lasher, and Agony.”

As seen in the trailer, Hardy looks amazing as Brock and this will probably be the most accurate version of Venom, with more teeth and a bigger size than of a usual Human Being. Honestly, people are really excited about this movie, and if it does turn out to be successful which Sony desperately wants it to be, then we could be seeing a whole Venom-verse take form and other characters from the Spider-verse may also be spawned in this Universe, and then later crossover with Venom.

The action sequences in the trailer that we saw looked pretty dope, and while the movie is currently finishing up the special effects around the movie, and refining them, we may see a great product when it finally comes out in the theatres. The big question that prevails in everyone’s minds is whether Spider-Man will also make a cameo in the movie being the property of Sony?

Sony is currently sharing Spidey with the MCU and if he does show in in the Venom movie as well, then it would mean that Venom is also a part of the MCU, or it would mean that the same Spidey is appearing in two separate Universes. It has been rumored that not Spider-Man but Tom Holland will have an appearance in the movie as Peter Parker. He will probably be on a field trip to the Life Foundation building and there we will get a cameo. This question was recently asked from the director of the movie, Ruben Fleischer, and the fact that he neither confirmed nor denied a cameo keeps us thinking. Here’s what he said:

“This feels very much like Venom’s movie. It’s the introduction of the character. As to where it will go in future movies, and who he’ll run across, I can’t say.”

Well even if Holland does show up as Peter Parker or Spider-Man, we should not give it much of a thought and be happy that it did happen. It will be a stand-alone and it would not need Spidey to save it, but a cameo is always welcome. The movie stars Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Jenny Slate, Scott Haze, Michelle Lee, Woody Harrelson, Riz Ahmed, and Reid Scott, and it will come out on October 5.
