Many fans are saying that if the film’s title had been Thanos: Infinity War, it would have been more apt as he was the central protagonist as well as antagonist whereas all the Avengers are supporting characters. He was the most terrifying adversary that Avengers had faced and they did get overpowered in the end by his brute force and sheer grit to go to any lengths to accomplish his mission.
The new Thanos Concept art reveals a new look for the Mad Titan. The purple skinned megalomaniac made life hell for the Earth’s mightiest heroes. He wanted to bring balance to the universe by killing half of all life in the universe, thus securing the remaining finite resources to be used equitably by the remaining half. He did it with the help of the six Infinity Stones that controls fundamental forces of existence.
This was the big game changer in the MCU and it silenced the critics who opposed Marvel for making movies without real stakes. This kind of darker tone to the script with earth-shattering consequences will continue in Avengers 4 as well. Here’s what the Russos said:
“We will say this, obviously Thanos is a very formidable villain and to beat Thanos will come at a very high cost. We’re committed to stakes, we believe in stakes, and we like to shake up the Marvel Universe. We had a big game-changer at the end of Winter Soldier, had a big game-changer at the end of Civil War, a big game-changer at the end of Infinity War. Obviously, there will be a big game changer at the end of Avengers 4.”
But the snap took almost everything out of Thanos. He, in fact, admitted the same when he went to the soul world and saw his daughter Gamora, she asked him ‘What it took’, he replied ‘Everything’. Well, you may be a God, a Deity to a cult that lives and dies by your name, but when you use not one but six Infinity Stones simultaneously to destroy half the universe and bend reality to your will, there will be repercussions that your body will have to endure. Thanos is seen holding a weapon in his right hand in the new Avengers 4 concept art.
Has the Mad Titan’s actions weakened his body or the Infinity Gauntlet itself? Whether that is true or not, Avengers 4 will let us know. We are here to give you some other interesting news about Thanos new weapon. Presenting Thanos’ New Weapon in Avengers 4 had already been released as Infinity War Toy!!!
A brand new concept art for the fourth Avengers movie has released all-new costume designs for the Earth’s mightiest heroes. They also revealed a new look for the Mad Titan. Thanos is seen in a new battle suit, holding a restored and repaired Infinity Gauntlet in his left hand while his other hand held a double bladed sword tike melee weapon.
And here’s an interesting fact about the Dual Sword Thanos is seen wielding in the art released by Hero X. Diehard fans scoured the internet to see that the dual sword weaponry had already been featured in one of the toy line accessories released for Avengers: Infinity War. The said piece was seen in an image that pit Thanos against the Iron Man.
This promo art could just be one of the earlier designs that were scrapped for a final version. But the timing is too uncanny. The promo art not only reveals Thanos in his new garb but also the remaining Avengers who survived Thanos’ onslaught.
All the heroes that are present in the concept art are the ones alive at the end of the movie. Apart from the Avengers’ founding members, the art also includes Ant-Man and Captain Marvel. Coincidence!!! We think not. Toyline companies are customarily given sneak peeks to the whole or major portions of the script and storyline so that they can make toys and added accessories out of it.
The Thanos version we see in the concept art and the one we see in the toy line for Infinity War released earlier cannot be just a coincidence. There must be a plot element everyone might be going to see in the Infinity War sequel.
Here is the concept art for Thanos in Avengers 4:
Is the new weapon of Thanos going to be yet another game changer? We will know soon enough when Avengers 4 releases on May 3, 2019. Fans believe that most of the heroes who turned into ash will make a comeback in the next movie but it’s more complicated than that. Avengers 4 will be a continuation of the events unfolded in Infinity War but it’s not a direct sequel. Here’s what Infinity Writers have said:
Markus – “[Avengers 4] doesn’t do what you think it does. It is a different movie than you think it is. Also…[the deaths are] real. I just want to tell you it’s real, and the sooner you accept that the sooner you will be able to move on to the next stage of grief”.
McFeely added – “Put it this way. I think [Infinity War] is a fairly mature movie for a blockbuster. It’s got a lot of fun in it, obviously, but boy, it gets very mature. The second one is also mature. We’re going to own these choices, and hopefully surprise and delight you and get you invested. It’s by the same studio, the same film-making team. They were written at the same time, shot at the same time. They’re clearly connected, but they are definitely two different movies, one of which is dependent on what happened previously”.
Well, it’s still a lot of months for Avengers 4. Until then, we can enjoy ourselves, sit back and relax. The brief plot synopsis released for Avengers 4 reads:
“A culmination of 22 interconnected films the fourth installment of the Avengers saga will draw audiences to witness the turning point of this epic journey. Our beloved heroes will truly understand how fragile this reality is and the sacrifices that must be made to uphold it.”
