Could Avengers: Infinity War bring Hayley Atwell’s Agent Carter back??

If Captain America is touted as the First Avenger, Agent Peggy Carter could be called Marvel’s first super spy. Peggy Carter is a well-known figure who has achieved legendary status pertaining to her actions that led to the formation of Shield and her help in defusing several worlds ending threats during the Post World War II and Early Cold War era. She is an inspiration to us all. First appearing as a military veteran in Captain America: The First Avenger, Peggy Carter was portrayed by the talented British Beauty Hayley Atwell on screen. It has been a while since we saw her in her prime on screen ever since Agent Carter was abruptly canceled. But chances are, we might see her yet again. There have been reports from various sources that claim Agent Carter could be coming back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But how legitimate is this news? Could Avengers: Infinity War bring Hayley Atwell’s Agent Carter back??

After Infinity War completely flipped the coin and turned the Marvel Cinematic Universe upside down, the Avengers have realized they chewed way more than they had bargained for. Thanos had fundamentally changed the MCU manuscript, rewriting the laws of reality and repositioning the space-time fabric and half of all life in the universe perished, paying for the mad Titan’s actions. While this may make things in the near future looks grim and dark, there just might be a silver lining. Popular legacy characters like Agent Peggy Carter could finally have a chance to come back from the dead. Hayley Atwell could be coming back to the MCU to reprise her role as Captain America’s first ever love interest. But whether it will be in a flashback sequence or as an alive and kicking version of the character in an alternate reality in Avengers 4 is still up for debate.

Hayley Atwell was recently in an interview with The Huffington Post where the interviewer briefed her on the current events of the MCU. Atwell still hasn’t seen Infinity War so the interviewer had to explain to her in detail as to what is going on in the Marvel Movies and that there just might be a chance for Atwell to come back as Agent Carter into the MCU.

Atwell is heard saying:

“To get a call now would be like, ‘Oh, God!'” Atwell said. “I’m sure anything could happen, but it’s this genre world that’s so multifaceted it’s like, will it ever die?”

Her replies might make it sound like she in uninterested in coming back. We assure you it is anything but. Hayley Atwell has been vocal about the experience she had on the sets of Marvel Studios, claiming Kevin Feige to be one of the coolest personalities and Marvel Studios being a one big happy family.

“I really like them, and I love the way…they made me feel safe and also empowered,” she said of the folks at Marvel Studios. “That’s the best thing to come out of it. It’s not this kind of – from my experience – scary, patriarchal, dominant, body-shaming Hollywood sphere machine. It was just really nerdy guys who love what they’re doing.”

When asked about what it took for her to play the famous Agent Carter on screen, Atwell was quick to respond with a perfect reply:

“That was just a job to me,” she said of playing Peggy. “I put as much into her as I have into Black Mirror or any kind of my stage work. It just happens to become special because, when you’re in a franchise like that, it has more commercial interest.”
