Coming out in just 9 days, Ant-Man and the Wasp is the next entry in the unstoppable MCU movie force, as it will be the third movie to come out this year, and the 20th movie to be released in total. After Avengers Infinity War portrayed a thrilling dark ending involving a lot of death, Ant-Man and the Wasp is going to lighten up the mood by giving us a movie filled with entertainment and surprises. It will be a bridge between Infinity War and Avengers 4.
Ant-Man and the Wasp is going to be one of the most important movies of the entire Phase 3. People who may be thinking that they could easily skip this movie not being interested in the world of Ant-Man would surely be at a great loss. Sure this movie will be largely self-contained but it will put out some aspects that everyone would surely need to know if they want to understand Avengers 4. Here are all the reasons why all the people, and especially the fans of Infinity War and Avengers 4 cannot afford to miss Ant-Man and the Wasp:
It answers the Big Question
Throughout Infinity War, we all had one question that remained prominent at all times. After the movie we all must have asked that where were Ant-Man and the Wasp and what have they been up to this entire time?
This movie will give us the answer to that big question properly and unlike Infinity War which only said that Scott had a deal with the Government, the movie will dive into the explanation of the details of these two big characters of the Marvel Universe. It will also bring them right into Avengers 4.
The Timeline Details
While we know that this movie will take place after Civil War being a prequel to Infinity War, it will also portray the effects of events that took place in Infinity War. The timeline of the movie will take place after Civil War, move parallel to Infinity War (for some time), and will lead directly into Avengers 4.
The effects of Infinity War will be shown in Ant-Man and the Wasp, which means that we could get to see many of the characters in Ant-Man and the Wasp getting disintegrated. The Wasp may be one of them and that is what may get Ant-Man and Hank Pym to work with the Avengers in Avengers 4.
It would set up Avengers 4
The events happening in Ant-Man and the Wasp are going to be really essential as they will shape up the storyline of Avengers 4 in a major way. Not only will this movie connect Ant-Man to the Avengers once again, but it will also bring other key elements that will be further explored in Avengers 4.
Characters like Hank Pym and Scott Lang are going to have significant roles in Avengers 4, and those are going to be set up by Ant-Man and the Wasp.
The Quantum Realm
The plot of the movie will focus on bringing back Janet Van Dyne who has been stuck in the Quantum Realm for almost 2 decades. The first movie showed that coming back from the Quantum Realm is a possibility as Scott Lang did it, so that is what motivates Hank Pym to figure out a way of returning from the Quantum Realm so that he could bring back his wife Janet from where she has been stuck for so long.
But since there have been major set photos from the set of Avengers 4 that suggest the involvement of Time Travel, we know that Quantum Realm will also come into play in those situations. Space and Time are irrelevant in the Quantum Realm, so the time travel that will take place in the movie will actually be possible through QR.
Just because it deserves an Audience
Ever since the first trailer of the film, we have seen that how unique the movie actually looks to be. The way it plays with the Pym particles just seems to be visually stunning.
Also, the early reactions of the audiences have called the movie a complete package and the big game-changing sequel ever since The Winter Soldier came out. It will bring the Wasp to the center stage and along with Ant-Man and the Wasp the movie hides great villains.
The movie comes out on July 6. Make sure you do watch it!
