Here’s Every Character That Should Be Blamed For Avengers: Infinity War’s Horrific Ending

Avengers: Infinity War was the biggest and probably the best MCU movie ever. This was not your typical Marvel movie which is just a light-hearted fun adventure, but it was way more than that, having real stakes and consequences. The movie was a complete package as it had emotion, drama, suspense, thrill, humor, sci-fi moments and hardcore action. The movie ended in the most thrilling way possible and you would never have seen it coming and seeing the end we all had our jaws dropped on the floor.

Right from the start of the movie, it was being teased that if Thanos managed to collect all the Infinity Stones, he would be able to wipe out half the population of the entire Universe with a Snap of his fingers. There were almost 70 characters in this huge movie, and 20-25 of those were Superheroes taking part in the battle against the Mad Titan. Things could have gone differently if the decisions taken by some characters in the bunch could have been different. Things had to go this way for the plot to end like this. So, here are the characters who are to be blamed for the cause of this horrific ending.

Loki

The first name that may come to your mind even before Star-Lord should be Loki. If it wasn’t for his desire to rule Asgard, Thanos would not have really been able to get as close to assembling the Infinity Stones. Loki ruled Asgard for quite a long time after faking his death. And during that time, all the 9 realms were in chaos as he did nothing to keep them in cheque. And with Odin gone, there was no lethal protector guarding those realms. Moreover, things could have been different if Loki did not actually pick Tesseract while leaving Asgard in Thor: Ragnarok.

Gamora

Gamora is to be blamed because she always knew the location of the Soul Stone, and she did know what Thanos’ actual plan was. So, if there was no one else that could lead Thanos to the Soul Stone, then she should have considered sacrificing herself way before when push came to shove. If Gamora would have died and Thanos still found out about the location, he still would not have been able to retrieve it as there is no one else left to be sacrificed by him. So he wouldn’t have gotten the Stone anyway.

Star-Lord

We cannot really blame Star-Lord for not being able to kill Gamora when Thanos first caught her at Knowhere. But the blame directly goes to him for what happened at Titan because he was not able to get a hold of his feelings at the most crucial time of requirement. Tony and Peter almost got the Gauntlet out of Thanos’ hand, and if it wasn’t for his distraction, held the population of the Universe may still be alive.

Doctor Strange

infinity war

Well, Strange was to blame because of the fact that he traded Tony’s life for the Time Stone even after he took an oath to guard the Stone. But, in his defense, that was the only way as was playing a very long game of chess with Thanos having seen one out of 14 Million 605 outcomes from the future that actually brought them the victory against the Mad Titan. So playing this move, he may have actually known the ending, and to win the battle against Thanos, half the population would have to die first.

Thor

Thor was the hero of the movie as he went to great lengths to take Thanos down. He forged a Thanos killing weapon traveling half a galaxy away, but the only time he may receive the blame for the end would be at the time of his killing stroke. He managed to stab Thanos right through the heart with the Stormbreaker, but that gave Thanos a little time to snap his fingers and accomplish his mission. So, what Thor should have really done was that he should have gone for the head!

Scarlet Witch

Again a hero who was too afraid to pay the cost of being a hero was responsible for the disintegration at the end. Vision kept trying to convince Scarlet Witch to destroy the Infinity Stone right from the beginning of the movie. But Wanda who was in love with him waited till the very last moment to do so when there was no other choice. And even then, Thanos was able to outsmart her using the Time Stone. So the blame that she gets would be that she did not take the necessary actions at the right time. If she would have destroyed the Time Stone a little before than she actually did, things might have been different.

Nick Fury

Nick Fury came out of hiding in the very end of the movie. The only blame that hangs on his head was the trump card he had in his pocket for God knows how long. He had the way to summon the most powerful hero this Universe has ever seen, and he chose to call her after Thanos made his move! Well, this has to be explained properly in the upcoming movies otherwise Fury would be named the biggest idiot there could ever be.
