Arrowverse: A Huge Team Arrow Member Reveals The Villain of Arrow Season 7

Season 6 of Arrow ended with a bang. It forever changed the way we view Team Arrow. Arrow Season Finales have a tradition of ending with a cliffhanger. Season 5 was something else entirely. Prometheus wanted to get under Oliver’s skin. He did. By killing himself, he changed The Green Arrow’s destiny forever. Each member of team Arrow suffered some form of loose in the previous season. The fans said it looked like it would be hard for any villain to top the impact Prometheus had on the Guardian Angel of Star City. Ricardo Diaz did the impossible in the Season 6 finale and if rumors are to be trusted, his successor will be doing the same in Arrow Season 7. But who might the villain of the next season of Arrow be? Presenting Arrowverse Update: Arrow Core Member reveals next season Villain!!!

While the dust still settles on Arrow Season 6, the consequences of the finale will be something that will be felt for a long, long time in the upcoming seasons. Something really bad happened in the finale of Season 6 and Green Arrow will have a tough time overcoming it. But the pain is not over yet. The next villain of Arrow Season 7 has been declared by one of the show’ core cast members and he is the kind of guy that will send chills down your spine. Emily Bett Rickards, who plays Felicity Smoak, Oliver Queen’s love interest, in the show, had something interesting to add about Arrow season 7.

Emily Bett Rickards was recently in an interview with Entertainment Weekly in The Spoiler Room and she said that Season Seven will mostly involve the fallout that comes from Oliver revealing he is the Green Arrow in the Season 6 finale and going to SuperMax prison to pay for his crimes. Oliver revealing him to be the Green Arrow has literally painted a bull’s eye on every member of Team Arrow’s back, both former and current. There will be repercussions by many people who saw the Green Arrow as their number one enemy. And the fact that he is in prison will mean that they will now go after the remaining members of Team Arrow.

Emily Bett Rickards is heard saying:

“The idea now is: If Oliver’s in prison, is he actually more protected than the team?” Rickards explained. “The rest of the team is all going to be in danger as well. Where that puts Felicity and William, I mean, we can only do so much to protect them.”

Rickards goes on to add by saying that the threat is not over yet. The sirens are still ringing for Team Arrow. Ricardo Diaz survived the Season 6 finale ordeal and he also has his Longbow Hunters in tow with him. They will be coming after the good guys.

“We’ve seen how strong and intelligent and ferocious [Diaz] can be; I don’t think he stops.” Rickards teased. “In terms of keeping [Felicity] safe, we can do our best, but I don’t think she’s going to have much luck.”

Arrow Season 7 villain

Marc Guggenheim, Arrowverse showrunner, has this to say about the next season of Arrow:

“The show fundamentally changes in the finale,” Guggenheim said in a previous interview. “And I think you’ll see there’s stuff that we were seeding back in the season premiere that finally comes to fruition here in the season finale, so you’ll see that there was a very specific plan to the entire season. We always knew that this is where we were headed to. So, hopefully in subtle ways have been teasing this all along without you realizing it. My hope is that people are surprised, but also look back and are like oh, that was kind of the only way that they could have ended the season.”
