15 EPIC Moments In Avengers: Infinity War That Were Stunningly Awesome

Avengers: Infinity War was the most anticipated movie of 2018 and it has finally hit the big screens. And buoy now we know why millions of people all around the world were waiting for this gigantic comic-book extravaganza to unfold with bated breath. It has literally blown our minds and is set to break all records as the first reactions are extremely positive from both critics and fans.

Presenting 15 moments from the movie that were stunningly awesome:

Thanos vs Hulk:

The movie started with the scene where Thor: Ragnarok left off i.e Thanos’ Sanctuary ship blocking the path of Thor’s vessel carrying remaining Asgardians, Heimdall, Loki and Hulk after Asgard is destroyed by Goddess of Death (Hela). What followed was a slaughter fest as Black Order killed every single Asgardian and had Loki captured. Thanos demanded Space stone from Loki which he stole in return of Thor’s life. He didn’t cooperate and unleashed Hulk on Thanos. At first, Hulk was all over Thanos and that’s when Ebony Maw said “Let him have his fun”.  And then Mad Titan gave the green guy beating of his lifetime, so much so that he refused to come out ever.

Loki’s death:

Loki is known as the ‘God of Mischief’ for a reason as he has outplayed and outsmarted his enemies including his brother countless times for so many years. He tried to do the same with Thanos but this time he misread his adversary. He took Thanos as a gullible warlord who will fall for his tricks, but he called his bluff. He could have come out alive but once he betrayed Thanos, there was no coming back.

Thor calling Rocket ‘Sweet Rabbit’:

After Thor got his ass beat by Thanos, he was floating in space only to be found by GOTG. His scenes with Guardians of the Galaxy could have been boring as hell. But after Thor left with Rocket & Groot in the pod to fetch a new weapon, his chemistry with Raccoon was simply amazing. Every time he would address him as ‘rabbit’, you just can’t help but smile.

Spiderman knighted as the Avenger:

After the huge fight sequence between Black Order members and Iron Man, Dr. Strange, Wong & Spiderman; Maw took Strange with him and laid a mind trap on him to extract ‘Time stone’ from him. But Iron Man and Spiderman (in Iron Spider suit) followed him to the outer space, teamed up, rescued Strange and killed Maw. That’s when Tony decided to officially make Peter Parker aka Spiderman an Avenger.

Thor taking the heat…literally:

After Thor reached to a place where a powerful weapon named ‘Stormbreaker’, a powerful Axe forged from the same materials as Thor’s hammer Mjolnir which was destroyed by Hela in Ragnarok. In order to wield it, Thor literally absorbed massive quantities of heat (equivalent to awakening a star) to activate the weapon.

Red Skull as a Gatekeeper:

The first and last time we saw Marvel’s cult villain ‘Red Skull’ was in Captain America: First Avenger where he tried to wield Cosmic Cube but failed and banished to Vormir, a place where Soul stone is buried. Him appearing at the gates when Thanos and Gamora came was really gut-wrenching as nobody had imagined that he could be there.

Gamora’s soul served as a sacrifice:

Red Skull told Thanos that there is no way he can have Soul stone without a sacrifice of someone he loves. Gamora started laughing as she thought there is not a single soul that Thanos has loved but he literally threw her off the cliff and acquired Soul stone. She was always his favourite daughter.

Tony, Quill & others taking the fight to Thanos:

The exchanges between Tony and Quill were hilarious as both are men with huge egos. But the scene where they cornered Thanos and were about to take gauntlet from him later botched by Star Lord’s ill-temper was just breathtakingly amazing. Thanos literally threw the moon on the Iron Man.

Strange giving up Time stone to save Tony:

Strange told Tony that he has seen over 14 million outcomes of battling against Thanos’ forces and they lose every time except once. Earlier, he made it clear that if it comes to protecting Stark, Parker and Stone; he will choose Stone. But then he gave up Time Stone for Tony’s life. This doesn’t make sense but when he said ‘This was the only way’, it’s clear that everything Strange has done is part of an elaborate scheme.

Thor’s epic arrival at Wakanda:

 thor odinson god of thunder

Black Order and a massive army of alien invaders aka Outriders had the city under siege. They far outnumbered and outgunned Cap’s team, Wakandan armies, Dora Milaje, Brother’s Tribe etc. They were almost on the verge of losing the battle but then we heard the sound of thunder, it was just mind-blowing seeing Thor wielding ‘Stormbreaker’ landing on Wakanda territory coming to the rescue like a mighty God.

Steve Rogers confronting Thanos face to face:

Thor coming at Outriders hard and blowing stuff up lasted for a short while. But then came Thanos himself as he had collected 5 Infinity stones except Mind Stone. Steve Rogers being himself decided to confront Thanos directly but he was obviously nobody against Thanos. This is taken straight from Marvel comics, but the difference is Thanos did’nt kill Cap in the movie, in comics, he executed him to set an example.

Scarlett Witch destroying Mind Stone:

Scarlett Witch and Vision have become “love birds” who were spending happier times with each other in Stockholm until hell broke loose. Black Order was sent to retrieve the Infinity stone on Vision’s forehead. Cap, Widow, Falcon intervened and rescued them. They all went to Wakanda and we know what happened next. The only choice Wanda was left with was to destroy the Mind stone and Vision along with it. She was pushed to the breaking point and destroyed it just in time. It shattered her completely but then something else happened.

Thanos using Time stone:

Wanda aka Scarlett Witch was able to destroy ‘Mind stone’’ with her magic before Thanos could have it, but then Mad Titan used Time stone, re-winded the events, and then he took away Mind stone that completed his gauntlet.

You should have gone for the head:

Thor attacked Thanos with full force and stabbed him with his new weapon “Stormbreaker”; everybody thought it’s over and started celebrating and then came the biggest shock as Thanos said to Thor – “You should have gone for the head” and the next moment he snapped his fingers.

Half the humanity wiped out at the snap of his fingers:

From the moment Thanos used his gauntlet to destroy half the universe, dead bodies began to pile up. Major superheroes including Black Panther, Spiderman, Bucky aka White Wolf, Star-Lord, Drax etc. turned to ashes. The survivors among superheroes were Iron Man, Cap, Black Widow, Hulk, and Thor.

The movie is running successfully in theatres. Don’t miss this epic event even for the world. It is directed by Russo brothers and produced by Kevin Feige. The screenplay is written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. Here’s the official synopsis:
