Avengers: Infinity War is almost here and it’s just 22 days away from its worldwide release. This is the greatest comic book ensemble we have ever seen on the big screen. The scale of the movie is huge as 67 A-List actors will assemble in one epic finale event where they take on the big bad built up in the last ten magical years of the MCU.
It will be the culmination of everything that has taken place in the last decade across 18 Marvel movies that have come out in three phases. Infinity War will bring closure to many plots and storylines and allow arcs of our favorite comic book characters to reach their logical conclusion.
Avengers have split into two camps since Civil War and just when they would think things can’t get worse, Thanos will land on Earth with his Black Order and an army of ruthless alien invaders known as ‘The Outriders’. We will see for the first time Thanos in full throttle action with only one goal – collect all six Infinity stones namely Power, Space, Mind, Time, Reality, and Soul.
These Infinity Stones are cosmic singularities that make its user the most powerful cosmic creature in the universe. He who wields Infinity gauntlet with stones embedded on it gains control over the fundamental forces of existence. As Gamora said in the trailer, Thanos can literally wipe out half the humanity at the snap of his fingers. The only force that can possibly stop Mad Titan is Earth’s mightiest ‘Avengers’ along with Guardians of the Galaxy.
Since the digital marketing of the movie Avengers: Infinity War, has really kicked in at full force every day something new keeps getting revealed about the movie. Ever since March began, we got to see new photos, promo arts and magazine cover being released almost every day, revealing almost all the characters of the movie along with other important aspects.
The new trailer for the movie Avengers: Infinity War, showed light on many new plot details but still, it kept the main story of the movie hidden. Marvel is keeping its cards pretty close to its chest and despite so much out there in the public domain in terms of trailers, teasers, tv spots, set images, interviews etc., nobody can claim to know it all. Well, that’s how a successful marketing campaign is done. Hats off to Marvel!
Now, two new images have hit the net through ‘Total Film’. The first image features the unification of the science bros. Banner and Tony. Also, Doctor Strange and Wong will have a little team up with the science bros in New York.
This image will be in the aftermath of Thanos kicking the crap out of Hulk on Thor’s ship and Hulk would crash land as Banner in the New York Sanctum Sanctorum. While Doctor Strange and Wong attend to Banner, Tony would show up, and a battle will take place right after their unification. The second image shows the aftermath of Thor meeting up with the Guardians.
As we have heard about the D23 Expo and Comic Con 2017 trailer, Thor would crash on the windshield of the Guardians ship, beaten and broken after a hard-fought battle against Thanos and the Black Order. Mantis would attend to him, probably wake him up, and then the scene in this image would take place that shows all the Guardians spooked and ready for the attack after Thor suddenly takes off. Then we will have the dialogue from the first trailer,
“Who the hell are you guys?”
According to the Russo Brothers, the Avenger who is going to have the most important role in the movie and the most amount of Screen time will not be Captain America or even Iron Man. Joe Russo recently revealed that Thor is the one who is the most important part of the movie, and besides Thanos, he is the one who gets the most screen time. Here’s what the co-director of the movie said:
“Interestingly enough, I’ll start out by saying Thanos, even though he’s not a character that had a huge preexisting story in the Marvel universe. He was a threat but he was not developed in any way up to this point. Thanos has an incredible amount of screen time in this film, in a lot of ways I would say it’s his movie. Our job when we make these films — and what we feel is important to us — is to surprise the audience. We wanted to tell a story that they weren’t expecting, and the story is told from the point of view of a villain, which I think is also really unique and risky for a commercial film that will surprise the audience. I think this is a market where the audience really enjoys innovation and disruption, and we want to do something innovative in this space. So I think Thanos has an incredible amount of screen time, and I think you’ll find that Thor has a really interesting arc in the film. He hasn’t been at the forefront of other Avengers movies but he certainly has a very important role in this film. So I’ll say, Thanos and Thor.”
