20 Most Anticipated Movies Coming Out In Summer 2018

This summer is going to be full of blockbusters as the most anticipated movies are all going to hit the theatres within a span of 3 months. Here are the movies we should look out for this summer:

Truth or Dare

This movie came out a week ago in USA, but in some places throughout the world, it came out just this week. It is a great horror flick for someone who is into the genre. This R-rated thriller is surely one to go for as it is currently playing in the theatres.

Avengers: Infinity War

This is the most anticipated movie of the year, bringing in 76 characters in total, having a budget of around $300 Million. Infinity War is set to blow the critics away, and it will surely break the Box office creating unlimited records! This is the movie Marvel has built up for 10 years and now we have finally arrived on the greatest moments of all. It opens on April 27.

Terminal

This is the first movie that Margot Robbie will be involved with in 2018 and it has been directed by Vaughn Stein who also wrote the movie himself. He has been shot the movie as a drama-thriller and along with Margot Robbie, the movie is going to star Dexter Fletcher, Max Irons, Simon Pegg, and Mike Myers. Lying right between Avengers: Infinity War and Deadpool 2, the movie will hit the theatres on May 11, 2018.

Deadpool 2

This is yet another much anticipated movie of the year, and this time the scale, scope and budget of the Deadpool movie is much bigger. We have so many characters coming in with Josh Brolin’s Cable, Zazie Beats’ Domino as the movie is going to set up the X-Force.  It will hit the theatres on May 18.

Solo: A Star Wars Story

This is the movie all Star Wars fans are waiting for, as it is the very needed prequel story of Han and Chewy. The movie did suffer a bit behind the scenes, but it seems that everything has worked out and the movie is coming out really strong. It will opne on May 24.

Tag

This upcoming summer comedy movie stars some big names from Hollywood like Jeremy Renner, John Hamm and Ed Helms. Here’s the Synopsis of the movie:

“One month every year, five highly competitive friends hit the ground running for a no-holds-barred game of tag — risking their necks, their jobs and their relationships to take one another down. This time, the game coincides with the wedding of the only undefeated player. What should be an easy target soon becomes an all-out war as he knows they’re coming to get him.”

The movie comes out on June 1.

Upgrade

This R-rated sci-fi flick is set up on a really interesting storyline as it is set in the near-future where technology controls nearly all aspects of life and within this setting, a technophobe avenges his wife’s murder – and his own paralysis-causing injury – with the help of an experimental computer chip implant called “Stem.” It will open on June 1.

Ocean’s 8

This is the movie that takes up from the plot of the original Ocean’s trilogy, and the producers will be looking to make yet another trilogy out of it, leading it to Ocean’s 10 and making it a sort of prequel trilogy. The movie will star a team of women instead of men this time around. The al-female star cast of this movie is led by Sandra Bullock. The movie will come out on June 8.

Hotel Artemis

This movie has a huge star cast with actors including Dave Buatista, Jodie Foster, Jeff Goldblum and Sofia Boutella. This upcoming action thriller is written and directed by Drew Pearce and It is scheduled to be released on June 8, 2018.

The Incredibles 2

The long awaited sequel to The Incredibles that came out back in 2004 is finally coming in. This time, it will be a new adventure for the family of supers as Mr Incredible will be the one to be stuck at home handling the kids while Elastigirl will go on and be the Superhero we all love. The movie comes out on June 15.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

The much anticipated sequel to the very successful Jurassic World is coming out within 2 months. Chris Pratt is going to return along with the Raptors and hopefully, this movie turns out to be even bigger than the first one and goes out and breaks the box office once again. It will hit the theatres on June 22.

Sicario 2

Josh Brolin’s third big movie in this year, Socario 2 will continue the story of the first flick but this time, we are going to miss Emily Blunt. Benicio Del Torro’s character is gonna go rogue this time around, serving his own agenda. This crime thriller is one you should not miss! The movie comes out on June 29.

Ant-Man and the Wasp

The third and the final MCU movie to come out this year will be yet another big surprise on the part of Marvel. It will continue the story of Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne, giving us a duo Ant-Man and the Wasp kicking some Ghost butt. This movie will be a prequel to Infinity War and it will come out on July 6.

The Spy who dumped me

The upcoming movie season is going to be big for comedy lovers as there is a lot in store for us and this movie in particular is going to be the action comedy movie we may have been waiting for. What is interesting here is that this time Mila Kunis is going to star in it. The story will circles around two best friends Morgan (McKinnon) and Audrey (Kunis), who unwittingly become entangled in an international conspiracy when one of the women discovers the boyfriend who dumped her was an actual spy from CIA. The movie will open on July 6.

Hotel Transylvania 3

The second trailer of the third movie in the trilogy just came out recently, and it is every bit of fun that you would have expected it to be. The first movie in this series was great, which gave rise to a second one, which was not as good as the first. Now, the threequel looks as if it will be back on track and entertain us as much as the first one did and it will come out on July 13.

The Nun

Releasing on July 13, The Nun is probably the most anticipated movie in the Horror genre considering the impact the character had in the 2016’s hit The Conjuring 2. The character was so effective in striving fear in our hearts that it actually lead to a solo movie centring the Nun.

Skyscraper

This is Dwayne Johnson’s next upcoming action movie where he plays a framed and on the run former FBI agent who must save his family from a blazing fire in the world’s tallest building, as his family is taken hostage in this monstrous skyscraper. The movie will come out on July 13.

The Equalizer 2

This movie will see the Oscar winning actor, Denzel Washinton return for the sequel to the blockbuster that came out in 2014. This franchise is based upon a TV show of the same name. The movie is directed by Antoine Fuqua and written by Richard Wenk, and it will be really great to see Washinton return to the vigilante business saving a few lives and kicking a lot of ass!

Mission: Impossible – Fallout

This will be the 6th addition to the immensely huge blockbuster franchise where Tom Cruise returns as Ethan Hunt only to find himself and his IMF team in a race against time after a mission goes wrong. A lot of members from the previous 5 Mission: Impossible will be reprising their roles, and two new actors – Henry Cavill and Angela Basset have joined the cast of the movie. it comes out on July 27.

The Meg

This is the monster movie that may be the best of this year. Jason Statham comes in to fight a huge Shark, what more do you want? Here is the official synopsis of the movie:

“A massive creature attacks a deep-sea submersible, leaving it disabled and trapping the crew at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean. With time running out, rescue diver Jonas Taylor must save the crew and the ocean itself from an unimaginable threat — a 75-foot-long prehistoric shark known as the Megalodon.”   

It will come out on August 10.
