Avengers: Infinity War will be upon us in less than two months and the hype for the movie keeps increasing as the movie keeps getting closer and closer. Infinity War will be the greatest character ensemble ever seen on the big screen and it will interweave all the stories told in the last 10 years, starting from Iron Man itself.
Since the build-up to this movie has been so fantastic, the anticipation for the movie is huge and this movie is expected to literally break the box office, and blow the minds of all the fans and critics at the same time.
So many characters are going to be in this time around that people are going to lose count to how many actually came and went away. According to reports, we will see around 35 Marvel superheroes in a single frame and 67 comic book characters in total. These characters will not just fight Thanos in the movie, but they will also fight for screen time as the number of core characters to appear is huge, and the Russo Bros have to juggle them in the right way to do justice to every character which may be an almost impossible job for anyone except them.
Avengers: Infinity War is coming closer and closer, and so far, the movie is running on just hype, and no real digital marketing has kicked in until now. The stores have started selling merchandise, clothes, and toys, but we have not seen a lot of the movie on the internet. Only one teaser and TV spot is what we have seen for this movie, and that itself was enough to make the fans go crazy. We have not got to see much if we think about it, neither for the Superheroes nor for the villains.
Till now, we have seen the first trailer dropped online by the Marvel studios and it totally conquered the internet. Well, it broke the all-time record of the maximum number of online views within first 24 hours of the release. In the trailer, we saw Thanos along with his Black Order has landed to Earth in search of Infinity stones which he requires to assemble an Infinity Gauntlet. He wants to be nothing short of the ruler of entire cosmos. Also, we see some of the Avengers trying to put up a fight but they are clearly outsmarted and outgunned.
Until the second trailer releases for the movie, which will possibly come out this week, we still would not know much about the story of the movie. The toys and merchandise that is out for sale has hinted at a few possible plot points, but still, there is no confirmation about many things in the movie. We don’t even know that for how long are all the characters going to be in the movie and what kind of impact will each character have on the story. Thankfully some new character Bios have been released by Marvel, and they give us some confirmation about what we can expect from these particular characters.
Captain America
“Since opposing the Sokovia Accords, the super-soldier has remained under the radar while continuing to do what he believes is right — saving the world one clandestine mission at a time.”
Captain America as revealed in the Prelude for Infinity War has been in hiding ever since he freed his team members from the Raft. He has been hanging out with Falcon and Black Widow doing secret missions in the Middle Eastern countries.
Thanos
“The Avengers are brought face to face with the cunning, intelligent, and fierce warlord, Thanos, a ruthless cosmic threat consumed with saving the universe from itself. To stop him, the Avengers must join forces with the Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange, and Spider-Man to bring down this villain who will stop at nothing to collect the six Infinity Stones.”
We have not seen a lot of Thanos till now as there has been nothing but build up towards him. Possibly, this sheds some light on the motivations of the Mad Titan.
Thor
“Still striving to earn his worthiness, the mighty God of Thunder will be put to the test when he finds himself confronting the unstoppable Thanos.”
This does not give much away, but all the marketing and posters that show Thor, have shown him having 2 eyes, so there is a big possibility that he would get his eye back in the movie.
Hulk
“Still struggling with the volatility of his alter ego, Bruce Banner needs to make peace with who he is if he has any chance of stopping Thanos from wreaking havoc across the galaxy.”
As suggested by the first trailer, Banner is going to crash land right into the Sanctum Sanctorum, except that, we don’t have much on The Hulk for Infinity War, and this bio may reveal that Bruce will in fact be stuck forever in Hulk’s body from now on.
Black Widow
“One of the deadliest spies in the world finds herself once again on the run after the Avengers disband. But her killer instinct will need to be at the top of its game when the greatest cosmic threat ever known descends on Earth.”
Nat went on to hang out with Cap and Falcon, and she has been on several small missions in Syria and other Middle Eastern countries. This character bio does not reveal anything new about her.
Iron Spider
”The friendly neighborhood Spider-Man will have to use his wit, strength, and Spider Sense to help the other heroes stop Thanos from enacting his master plan to collect all the Infinity Stones.”
We did not see Spider sense show up in Spider-Man: Homecoming and this character bio officially reveals that the iconic character power will be in Infinity War. Also, it confirms that we will, in fact, see the Iron Spider Suit in the movie. It is the most powerful and strongest suit that Spiderman has ever worn in MCU. It is loaded with all the features we saw in Homecoming such as stealth metallic armor, mechanical web shooters, spidey wings, spider-tracers etc. and more.
The official plot synopsis released by the Marvel studios, read it below:
“Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk and the rest of the Avengers unite to battle their most powerful enemy yet — the evil Thanos. On a mission to collect all six Infinity Stones, Thanos plans to use the artifacts to inflict his twisted will on reality. The fate of the planet and existence itself has never been more uncertain as everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment”.
“As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain”.
“An unprecedented cinematic journey ten years in the making and spanning the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Infinity War” brings to the screen the ultimate, deadliest showdown of all time. The Avengers and their Super Hero allies must be willing to sacrifice all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe”.
Avengers Infinity War will hit theaters worldwide on April 27, 2018. The movie is directed by Russo brothers i.e Joe Russo and Anthony Russo who have become most influential duo when it comes to directing epic comic book movies. It is directed by Marvel boss Kevin Feige with a set of executive producers namely Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo and God of Marvel comics Stan Lee. The screenplay is written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
Can Earth’s mightiest ‘The Avengers’ along with Guardians of the Galaxy be able to save the mankind from Thanos’ invasion? Will the major cities fall at the altar of Black Order? Who will survive the wrath of Mad Titan? Who will die fighting him? Can’t wait to find out. The countdown has already begun.
