Avengers: Infinity War – The Mighty Thanos Throws A Moon!

The countdown for Avengers Infinity War has already begun as it is going to be released in less than two months. This is the greatest comic book extravaganza we will ever see on the big screen as it would feature nearly 35 Marvel superheroes and 67 comic book characters in total. Never before have we witnessed a spectacle as grand as this where stakes are this high and expectations are off the charts.

Avengers Infinity War is the beginning of the end of all that has happened in the Marvel movies till now from the year it started. In 2008, Iron Man was released which set up the MCU as we know today. We have come a long way as 18 movies have already been released in three phases. Infinity War is a two-part story which will continue and winds up in Avengers 4 which will mark the culmination of MCU Phase 3.

The plot revolves around Mad Titan aka Thanos who will come with his Black Order to collect all the Infinity stones – Space, Power, Time, Mind, Reality, Soul. He wants nothing less than becoming the most powerful cosmic creature in the universe and in order to rule entire cosmos, he needs all the six Infinity gems to assemble the Infinity Gauntlet and literally control forces of the universe. Once he gains control of the six cosmic singularities, he will become invincible. Till now, five Infinity stones have been discovered and Soul stone is yet to be found.

A plethora of new information has sprung up regarding Infinity War. New images and data reveal the true extent of The Mad Titan’s powers in the upcoming highly anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe movie. How powerful are the Infinity Stones?

Turns out, their power levels in the MCU are strong enough to throw a whole Moon like it was beach volleyball. And Thanos knows just the guys to throw it at.  The new release date for Avengers: Infinity War most certainly means that the full-length trailer will be released anytime now.

Even though the trailer is a No-Show, for now, Marvel’s legendary marketing team has made sure the hype stays true and real to the fans with emerging toy lines and posters regarding Infinity War. And now an even more interesting image of Thanos is revealed.

EW’s Avengers: Infinity War coverage could be the one to be given credit for releasing this new image. As part of the coverage, 15 new images of the Marvel Characters participating in Infinity War, including the Heroes and the Villains was released. The release also included additional information about the heroes nowhere found over the internet. The release aims to give us a better idea about the Avengers: Infinity War movie and about the heroes and Thanos, in particular. There are some major Moments that the release teases, moments that will leave you gasping.

EW has been kind enough to release a whole new set of images for Infinity War. The images ensure in teasing a lot more action sequences than fans had hoped for. The action scenes include Doctor Strange, Spiderman, Iron Man and more. But the real deal stealer is that of Thanos and a whole moon in the background, ripping through the sky just like a giant asteroid.

Thanos is seen using the Space Stone and the Power Stone to pull an entire moon into the orange planet he is standing on in the trailer. The planet is widely claimed to be Titan, Saturn’s moon, and Thanos’ home planet. The planet of Titan is also home to the Eternals in the Marvel Comics, a race of superhuman beings created due to the experimentations of the Celestials on Humanity. Thanos is an eternal cosmic being as well.

Here are the images:

In the comics, Thanos was born in Titan. He was rejected by his own father the day he was born when they found out that Thanos was half deviant as well, a race of malevolent beings that are the sworn enemies of the Eternal race. In the movie, Thanos returns back to his home world and is greeted by the Avengers in battle. Iron Man and the Avengers can be seen trying to defeat Thanos on Titan itself.

As to how Thanos pulled out an entire moon from its orbit, we believe the Infinity Gauntlet, although incomplete, is still to be a force to be reckoned with. Using the Space Stone’s massive displacement abilities and the Power Stone to generate enough energy to push the planet out of orbit, Thanos can even do such cosmic level feats like it was a piece of cake for him. How do the Avengers take on a guy who can singlehandedly pull an entire Satellite from orbit?!?!

Apart from Thanos, the other heroes also look prepped for battle. Shuri is seen along with Scarlet Witch and Bruce Banner in Wakanda. Black Panther is seen holding the line of defense along with M’Baku, Captain America and Bucky who is now known as the White Wolf. War Machine is back and he seems to have forgiven Cap for making him a paraplegic. Somehow Rhode is able to walk again using some new technology. Rhodes is seen along with Captain America and Black Widow.

Avengers: Infinity War

Thor, Groot and Rocket Raccoon are seen going on their own personal mission. The mission is probably finding a new weapon for Thor in the Dwarven Star Forge seen in the trailer as well. The mythical axe of Thor called Djanbjorn will debut soon in Avengers: Infinity War. Gamora is on her own solo mission to get revenge on Thanos while searching for Nebula. Until the new trailer arrives, we just have to make peace with the fact that these new images do give us more than we hoped for. Excited? So are we!!!
