Okay so finally the wait is over as the second and final trailer for Avengers Infinity War is out, and oh my god was it the best thing I have ever seen! Marvel made us go crazy for it and we have finally been rewarded for our patience! The new trailer is just mesmerizing, full of fan-pleasing comic book moments, and tonnes of action. Thanos is the ultimate big bad and this trailer has really hinted upon that. Here’s the new trailer for Avengers Infinity War, check it out:
Let’s get into the breakdown straightaway! The trailer begins with Gamora narrating, while scenes in the backflow where we see quick shots of New York, The Sanctum and the trio of Black Widow, Bruce Banner and War machine, and right after them we see Gamora explaining that Thanos would destroy half the universe with just a snap of his fingers if he gets hold of all the Infinity Stones.
Tony asks someone to reveal Thanos’ name again and we are made to believe that he is talking to Gamora, but he actually is probably with Banner, Strange, and Wong in this scene. The next scene shows Thanos wearing his battle armor, and we see him take off his helmet. The next scene shows Peter hanging on to the side of his bus which is probably in the aftermath of the scene where we saw his Spider-sense tingle in the previous trailer. He then wears his mask and swings away to save the day.
The next quick shot reveals Iron Man flying towards the giant Alien-Ring ship which is flying upwards, and here we see a glimpse of the ultimate upgrades Tony has made to his new suit as his foot-thrusters combine into one mega thruster which allows him to fly even faster. Tony narrates his plan to take on Thanos as he reveals that since Thanos is coming to them and they know what he wants, so they can use this to their advantage.
While this happens, we get to see quick shots of Doctor Strange reveal the eye of Agamotto, Scarlet Witch and Vision, and Wakanda where we see Captain America come in to unite with T’Challa along with Black Widow, Falcon, Rhodey, Bruce, Wanda, and Vision.
Then we get a quick shot of the guardians probably entering the Collector’s vault, and then we see that Drax and Peter Quill have met with Spider-Man and Iron Man on the planet Titan where Quill opposes Tony’s plan as according to him it totally sucks and he suggests that he should make the plans from there on. Next up we enter right into the siege of Wakanda as we see the Wakandans and a few Avengers move towards the battle. We get a clear look at the HulkBuster which Banner would be wearing.
After that, we see the trio of Rocket, Groot and Thor who have banded together for some mysterious mission (probably for Thor to forge a new weapon), and in this scene, Rocket and Groot are chocked psychologically seeing the God of Thunder in action. Next up we see a shot of the Giant Ring ship crashing upon Titan, and a flashback scene of Thanos in his battle armor where he holds Gamora’s little hand when she was a kid.
Then Thanos starts to narrate that when he is done, half of humanity will still exist and we see him crushing Thor’s head like a balloon. After that, we get the first ever live action look at the Black Order (Proxima Midnight, Ebony Maw, Corvus Glaive and Cull Obsidian) who have captured Loki on the Asgardian ship. Next up we see Thanos grabbing and Crushing the Tesseract in order to retrieve the Space Gem.
Then quick shots of Bucky, Cap, Panther and the Wakandan army appear where they get ready for battle against the outsiders who come running in towards the Wakandan defense shields and we see the entire siege begin here. Parallel to that, we get quick shots of Star-Lord and Doctor Strange performing a dual team and we see that Doctor Strange is caught up in a magical needle maze by Ebony Maw as he screams in pain.
Then the battle continues as we see Falcon flying in and shooting towards the Outriders’ army and in the next shot, a horde of Outriders take the Hulkbuster suit down, which is when Banner would emerge from the inside and turn into the Incredible Hulk. Then we see shots at Titan where Tony’s armor is crushed in the battle against Thanos and then Thanos jumps into action towards him and the scene changes where he tries to grab Steve and we get the money shot of Steve Standing up to the Mad Titan, resisting his arm using his entire strength.
They make us think as if Thanos is shocked here by Steve’s strength but it may actually be the final moment for Cap as Thanos could very well kill him right at this moment. This is straight out of Marvel comics and it’s an iconic moment when Cap decides to face Thanos alone as his entire army has been wiped out and fellow superheroes killed.
Then the trailer ends on a light-hearted tone as we see Peter meeting up with Strange for the first time as he introduces himself by his name, and Strange introduces himself as Doctor Strange, Peter replies that if they are using their made-up names then he is Spider-Man, and we see the final shot of Spider-Man in his Iron Spider suit swinging amidst the falling debris.
