The first official trailer of Avengers Infinity War created a ruckus on the internet when it was dropped online. It broke an all-time record for the maximum number of views on Youtube in the first 24 hours of its release.
The entertainment pundits believe that the comic book movie has drawn massive excitement and enthusiasm of millions of fans worldwide who are ready to book their tickets the moment box-office window opens, the hype is so much that it may just break the record of Avatar for highest box office collections when everything is said and done.
In the first trailer, we saw Thanos has taken matters directly into his own hands and he has landed to Earth to retrieve Infinity Gems. There are six Infinity stones out of which five have been discovered while Soul stone is yet to be found. It is expected to be hidden inside the Kingdom of Wakanda under the protection of Black Panther. In the upcoming movie, we will be introduced to the last remaining gem which will set the stage for Infinity war.
Each of these stones is powerful individually but collectively it allows the user to reshape entire worlds and rewrite timelines. Here’s what ‘The Collector’ said about Infinity stones:
“Before creation itself, there were six singularities. Then the universe exploded into existence, and the remnants of these systems were forged into concentrated ingots… Infinity Stones.”―The Collector
The Mad Titan Thanos will need all of the Infinity stones to assemble an Infinity gauntlet which will make him the ultimate ruler of the cosmos. Hence, he will steal all six of them with his Black Order. Avengers Infinity War will be like a heist movie. The Russo brothers had this to say:
“With “Infinity War,” the biggest new element to the movie is Thanos and the fact that he’s entering the storytelling in a very bold, strong way, to the degree that he’s almost one of the leads. We’ve shaped an interesting narrative around him that in some ways leans heavily on a heist film in the fact that he’s going after the infinity stones in a much bolder, successful way than he has in the past. The entire movie has that energy of the bad guy being one step ahead of the heroes. We looked at a lot of movies that had that heist-style energy to them, and that brought some inspiration”.
Just when the fever of Infinity War was slightly dipping, on Sunday, the 52nd Super Bowl took place and it brought so many new trailers and spots for us. One of the most anticipated teasers of the Super Bowl was of Avengers Infinity War, and it was more than what fans could have expected. We got to see quite a bit in the 30-second spot and naturally, it generated a lot of questions along with giving us thrills. Here are the questions that were raised after the trailer.
What is Thor doing with the Guardians?
In the first trailer and the spot, we got to see that Thor is one the Milano along with the Guardians of the Galaxy. Obviously, we have the question that needs to be answered that why exactly is Thor with them. Well, in Thor: Ragnarok, in the mid-credits scene, we saw a huge ship appearing in front of Thor’s ship. That ship was revealed to be the sanctuary and Thanos is probably on it. Which means Thor would have got his butt kicked over there and as we saw in the leaked comic con trailer, he ended up on the windshield of the Milano.
Still, we don’t know what Thor will do from there on. In the first trailer of Avengers Infinity War, we saw that Thor is trying to pull something with his two hands, and people thought that he is trying to forge a new weapon. So the Guardians could be helping him in doing that.
What is Scarlett Witch Doing To Vision?
In the new teaser, we got another look at Scarlett Witch and Vision who is in his human form living together. Now here we see that Scarlett Witch is trying to sort of work her magic on the mind stone that is embedded in Vision’s head.
If you remember that in Captain America: Civil War, Vision did not properly understand what the Mind Stone exactly is. Since Wanda’s powers originated from the Mind gem as well, she probably might be helping Vision study the stone further.
What is the Giant Ring Ship?
In the first trailer of Avengers Infinity War, we saw a giant ring sized space ship appear in New York and then we got a shot at Peter Parker who was on his bus. Now, in the teaser, we saw Spidey actually on that ring ship and it was going higher towards space and Peter is, in fact, afraid to go really high.
So, what is happening in this scene and why was that ship even there in New York. What does it do? is it even a ship or it is some kind of a weapon? Only time can tell.
Who gives Cap his new Shield(s)?
In the teaser, we saw that Cap gets two new Gauntlets from someone in Wakanda as T’Challa ordered someone to get Cap a shield. Now, these gauntlets were revealed to be two new small Shields as they actually turned into one. Since they were in fact made in Wakanda, so it is safe to assume that they are made up Vibranium. But who exactly came up with this amazing tech?
Well, the person smart enough to do that is T’Challa’s younger sister Shuri. She is said to be even smarter than Tony Stark and she also came up with the awesome new tech that has been installed in Black Panther’s new suit which she made for her brother.
Iron Man’s new suit tech?
This has been one of the most hotly anticipated questions about the entire movie. Many people have predicted that this time around, Tony’s entire suit will fit into the new Arc reactor he has made. Now, we saw in the teaser that the suit was forming around Tony in a way that we have never seen before. So what kind of tech exactly does the suit possess? Will the entire suit come out from Tony’s arc reactor? We’ll get to see that pretty soon.
Where’s Hawkeye?
The question that has been constant in both these trailers is the exact whereabouts of Hawkeye during the battles and the siege we got to see in the trailers. In the new Infinity War Prelude, it has been revealed that Hawkeye went back to his family after he was released by Cap from the ocean raft. But where is he when everything goes to hell? Will he be back from retirement yet again or will he choose to stay with his family? What will turn him into the assassin Ronin? We’ll have to wait on this one.
The Marvel Studios has released series o the synopsis in the last six months, here are the following official descriptions of the movie:
1) “Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk and the rest of the Avengers unite to battle their most powerful enemy yet — the evil Thanos. On a mission to collect all six Infinity Stones, Thanos plans to use the artifacts to inflict his twisted will on reality. The Avengers and their Super Hero allies must be willing to sacrifice all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe.
The hype is enormous and real. Fans just can’t wait anymore as the countdown has already begun. Avengers Infinity War is set to be released in theaters on May 4, 2018. Get ready for a ride of your lifetime.
