Legends of Tomorrow: Another Huge Speedster Is Coming In Addition to Kid Flash

CW is home to Arrowverse that comprises of popular superhero shows like Arrow, Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl and now Black Lightning as well. The universe is vast and multidimensional and Marvel TV universe is nowhere close to challenging the dominance of DC’s Arrowverse on the small screen. DC enjoy similar status if not exactly as that of Marvel on the big screen.

But it started with Arrow which became a trendsetter for other superhero shows to follow, then came Flash and finally DC decided to bring amalgamation of characters from both Arrow and Flash, throw them in a new environment where they are required to stop the time masters, thwart evil designs of Legion of Doom and now fixing time anachronisms in history.

But season 3 has brought Damien Darhk (who was killed in Arrow season 4) as the main supervillain and a monster named Mallus who is neither human nor animal, he is a mysterious entity that takes birth, rises and dies throughout the time.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow is the only show in the Arrowverse that took such a long time to air since its mid-season break last year. The threat of Mallus and Damien Darhk looms over the horizon and fans are still eager to know how the Legends are going to tackle that problem. The stakes are universe-shattering on this one.

Things have taken quite an interesting (aka morbid) turn for the legends. Martin Stein, played by Victor Garber is dead after the 4 part Arrowverse crossover ‘Crisis on Earth X’ took his life. Stein was almost like a father to Jax. He was unable to cope with his loss and has decided to leave the team (hopefully just for the time being). The Legends have been approached by John Constantine for help. That is excluding the fact that Mallus, one of the universe’s greatest threats still is at large.

The show has been doing really well ever since it has returned after its mid-season break as it brought in Constantine for one episode who helped the Legends to catch Mallus. He had an incredible chemistry with Captain Sara and they even shared a kiss.

He is even confirmed to make his return towards the end of the show. Now, they have even added a Speedster to the team as Wally West aka Kid Flash has become a regular member of the team that boards the Waverider. In the latest episode titled ‘Here I go Again’, in the last scene we saw Rip Hunter meeting with Wally West aka Kid Flash and asked him for his assistance for a mission. Finally, Wally has cemented his place somewhere good. In Flash TV series, his character development came to a standstill as the makers did not want him to be better than Flash and fight crime and meta-humans….you got me right…anyways it was time for him to move on. The show almost treated him as a second fiddle and did not give him much screen time and space he well deserved.

Now, the show is going to go even bigger as yet another Speedster is going to be added to the show for one episode and Wally West won’t be the only Speedster to hop on the Waverider. The Earth 2 Speedster, Jesse Quick is all set to guest star on Legends of Tomorrow.

According to the new reports,  traveling Arrowverse series. After starring on The Flash in the episode – “Entering Flashtime”, she will star on Legend of Tomorrow and will unite with her ex-love interest Wally West who is now a series regular (at least for this season). She will be appearing on the episode – “Necromancing the Stone”, which will be the 15th episode of the series.

On Earth-1, she came with her father who is Earth-2 Harrison Wells and then she joined Team Flash in season 2. She spent a large part of the season being a captive of an evil speedster Zoom. When she was rescued by Flash, she and Wally fell for each other briefly and then parted ways.

When Prof. Wells tried to recreate the conditions of particle accelerator explosion which turned Barry Allen into fastest man alive to restore his powers, instead the experiment failed miserably and it led to massive leak of radiation into Star Labs. Both Wally and Jesse came in contact with the radiation but Jesse immediately turned into a speedster and Wally did not for inexplicable reasons. He became Kid Flash through philosopher’s stone held by Alchemy.

She was a recurring character in season 2 and 3 helping Team Flash fight against metahumans and villains. But then she decided to form her own crime-fighting team at Earth 2 and her long-distance relationship with Wally did not work out, she broke up with him after she gave him “break out cube” as a parting gift.

It will be really fun to see how the series is going to handle the probable awkwardness between Wally and Jesse. When the 3rd season will end, the show will have had plenty of visitors. We got Leanard Snart back, John Constantine returned and will come back again in the same episode the Jesse will be in, Kid Flash joined the show, and Jonah Hex is confirmed to return for the season finale.

The fact that Constantine is in the same episode, we can guess that it is about a supernatural enemy ‘Mallus’. While we don’t know the exact reasons why Jesse is brought into Legends of Tomorrow, but it has to do with Legends’ newest member ‘Kid Flash’.

Moreover, Jesse is also coming into Flash TV show for an episode titled “Enter Flashtime” where she and Jay Garrick will help Team Flash from saving the Central city from a nuclear bomb about to go off and destroy the lives of millions of people. Can they do it? We will find out.

If you have not been catching up with what is going on in this particular season, don’t worry as we have you covered. Just read the summary below, and join in from the upcoming episode. Here’s the summary of Season 3:

“After the defeat of Eobard Thawne and his equally nefarious Legion of Doom, the Legends face a new threat created by their actions at the end of last season. In revisiting a moment in time that they had already participated in, they have essentially fractured the timeline and created anachronisms – a scattering of people, animals, and objects all across time! Our team must find a way to return all the anachronisms to their original timelines before the time stream falls apart. But before our Legends can jump back into action, Rip Hunter and his newly established Time Bureau call their methods into question. With the Time Bureau effectively the new sheriffs in town, the Legends disband – until Mick Rory discovers one of them in the middle of his well-deserved vacation in Aruba. Seeing this as an opportunity to continue their time traveling heroics, Sara wastes no time in getting the Legends back together.

“We reunite with billionaire inventor Ray Palmer, the unconventional historian-turned-superhero Nate Heywood, and Professor Martin Stein and Jefferson “Jax” Jackson, who together form the meta-human Firestorm. Once reunited, the Legends will challenge the Time Bureau’s authority over the timeline and insist that however messy their methods may be, some problems are beyond the Bureau’s capabilities. Some problems can only be fixed by Legends.
