Captain Marvel Spotted In Avengers: Infinity War Trailer?

Avengers Infinity War is the most anticipated movie of 2018…period. It is the grandest comic book extravaganza that has ever been put on screen, it will feature over 35 of our beloved superheroes in a single frame and 67 characters will appear in the two parts of the Infinity War.

The first part is known as Avengers Infinity War (from the point of view of Team Avengers) and the second part is still untitled which will be from Thanos’ perspective. Kevin Feige, Head of Marvel said that the title of Avengers 4 is a huge spoiler and will be disclosed at the opportune time.

The first official trailer of Infinity War was released a few weeks back by Marvel studios and buoy it totally owned and conquered the internet. Within 24 hours of its release online, it broke an all-time record of the maximum number of viewings for any movie ever. The excitement hit the fang as fans watched the trailer multiple times to spot easter eggs and hints to possible plot points.

The entertainment pundits believe that if all the hype behind the movie converts into footfalls into the theaters, this could very well become the highest grossing comic book movie and may even surpass box office collections of Avatar when everything is said and done.

In the trailer, we saw the Mad Titan ‘Thanos’ taking matters into his own hands for the first time, as till now we only saw him in the post-credits of movies. He has landed on Earth along with his Black Order and he wants to collect all the Infinity gems to assemble a gauntlet which will make him an all powerful cosmic entity with powers to reshape the worlds and rewrite the timelines.

Russo brothers

The Russo brothers described Avengers Infinity War as a heist movie as Thanos will hatch a plan to steal all Infinity stones and then launch an all-out assault against the Avengers and the Guardians. Here’s what they said:

“With “Infinity War,” the biggest new element to the movie is Thanos and the fact that he’s entering the storytelling in a very bold, strong way, to the degree that he’s almost one of the leads. We’ve shaped an interesting narrative around him that in some ways leans heavily on a heist film in the fact that he’s going after the infinity stones in a much bolder, successful way than he has in the past. The entire movie has that energy of the bad guy being one step ahead of the heroes. We looked at a lot of movies that had that heist-style energy to them, and that brought some inspiration”.

After a period of lull, we all saw the new big game TV spot of Avengers Infinity War and we all loved it. This new teaser brought in so many new things into the mix, giving us a lot in just 30 seconds of time. We got a look at Iron Man’s new suit, a fair bit of Spider-Man and 3 different team-ups (Strange-Spidey-IronMan-Banner, Cap-Nat-Vision-Panther-Winter Soldier, and Thor-Guardians).

Avengers Infinity War

This little teaser brought quite a bit of info into the light. We got to see Iron Man’s new armor, Cap’s new Shield, and various sneak peeks at the characters that are going to appear in this huge ensemble. But many fans now think that they also spotted Captain Marvel in this trailer.

In the teaser we see Vision hobbling behind Captain America (Nomad) and Black Widow as they move into a facility that is supposedly in Wakanda. Some fans even find it to be a spoiler as in the first Avengers: Infinity War trailer, we saw that vision was attacked and what looked like Corvus Glaive was trying to rip off the mind gem out Vision’s head, and he was screaming in pain.

People thought that it might be the end of the android, Vision as Thanos is going to get the stone one way or another. Still, there was uncertainty about his fate that whether he will survive even after the stone is taken out of his head or will it be the end of one of the strongest Avengers.

And now in the new teaser, as mentioned above, Vision looks completely worn off in this scene as if he is coming from a battle or got beat up by someone. This presumably is the aftermath of the scene we saw in the first Infinity War trailer involving Corvus Glaive and he is the one who is responsible for Vision’s condition.

Here we see that Vision still has the Infinity Stone attached to his head, which means that Glaive would be unsuccessful while retrieving the gem for Thanos. Since he is alongside Cap and Black Widow, we can assume that they were the one who saved him from Corvus Glaive. Well, good news for Vision fans as we will get to see more of him because Thanos would have to find a different way to retrieve the mind gem.

But now, a new thing has come into the light now, as fans seem to have spotted Captain Marvel in this teaser as well. In the scene discussed above involving Cap, Nat and Vision, if we look closely, we can see that there is an individual besides Vision and behind Captain America.

Behind Captain America’s left arm, we can see something that appears to gold in color. Many fans took it to the internet claiming that it is Captain Marvel and Infinity War is going to mark her first appearance in the MCU. The fans believe this theory as Captain Marvel’s logo which is at the center of her suit and is Gold in color.

Well, not to burst any bubbles of fantasy, but the individual behind Cap is none other than Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlett Witch. If you look below Captain’s left hand, you can see that it is a trench coat, the same coat we saw Olsen in leaked screenshots from November, in the leaked Comic-Con trailer and the leaked set photos.

We also saw Olsen wearing this coat in the official trailer as well, so the gold thing which is believed to be Captain Marvel’s logo is actually Wanda’s blonde hair. So, this means that Scarlett Witch also might have helped save Vision from the clenches of Corvus Glaive. Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel will not appear in Infinity War as it has already been confirmed by director Joe Russo.

Even though the Russo brothers are known to be very tight and secretive about their upcoming projects, Captain Marvel is going to make her debut in the MCU in her own solo outing in 2019, and then she will appear in Avengers 4, and not in Avengers: Infinity War.
