Black Panther is out and it satisfies every bit of the hype that has been all around the world. The movie easily hits the Top 3 Marvel movie spots and was surely the best Superhero origin story beating Iron Man. Black Panther was nothing we have ever seen before. It was just sheer perfection.
The movie was a complete package as it had everything! It had emotion, it had heart, it had humor, it had drama, it had mind-blowing action, and all over, it had a great plot. Th movie is a great addition to the Marvel’s roster of superhero films and created a yet another franchise whose sequel can be created. It was not just a comic book movie with high octane action sequences but it also had an empowering message for the Black community in the US and other parts of the world.
Ryan Coogler crafted an amazing storyline as he cherry-picked the best moments from different Black Panther comic runs and clubbed them all together to give us a visual masterpiece. This movie was revolutionary and it has totally gone insane at the box office worldwide! It has already crossed $500 million mark in less than a week and it has been rated as the best comic book movies on Rotten Tomatoes, sitting at 97% rating!
The movie had really a lot to put in on display, and it was all done in the best way possible, but still, it did not explain a few things here and there, and 2-3 big mysteries that people expected to see get solved in this movie. The biggest secret that people expected this movie to be hiding was the soul stone. It was assumed that Wakanda is a country that is so advanced that it hides in plain sight from the rest of the world, so there must be a big reason as to why they’ve been hiding all this time.
People thought that they have been hiding because they have been guarding something really powerful, that could change the entire world, and at the same time, destroy the world as well. The thing Wakanda has been hiding may be something of true power, and the people of Wakanda may not want it to fall into wrong hands. This thing of power was in fact believed to be the 6th Infinity Stone, the soul gem.
But actually, that may not be the entire case! Right when the movie began, the entire mythos of Wakanda was described in brief. Here’s how it went:
“Millions of years ago, a meteorite made of vibranium – the strongest substance in the universe – struck the continent of Africa, affecting the plant life around it.”
But how is this glowing metal which has surrounded the land of Wakanda the strongest metal on Earth, and how is able to achieve such impossible feats like being able to absorb kinetic energy and take Wakanda to unimaginable Technological advancements. All this has been attributed to the greatness of the Panther Goddess Bast. Along with this, the Panther afterlife is also the result of what is believed to be the greatness of Bast.
In the Panther afterlife, as we saw, all the ‘souls’ of the Wakandan people are absorbed and put into this world. Ryan Coogler possibly did not want to explain the Panther afterlife and how it all exactly worked because he possibly left it to be explained in Infinity War. Since all the souls are taken into the afterlife, it may have formed into the soul world we are familiar with, in the comics. So it is very plausible that this soul world is the result of the Soul Stone, and Black Panther has sowed the seeds of revealing the Soul Stone in the next movie.
If this is the case then deep beneath the meteor that struck Earth millions of years ago, the Soul Stone would be buried and all the Vibranium and this Soul world are the product of the Soul Stone itself! There are many pieces of evidence from within the movie itself that lead to this conclusion.
Ulysses Klaue says that Wakanda has a mountain full of Vibranium, and they still have not scratched the surface! What lies beneath the surface, no one knows. And possibly, this is why the Siege of Wakanda will take place in Infinity War because Thanos is possibly after the Infinity Stone over here.
Even in the comics, the Soul Stone is one of the most unsettling, and supernaturally powerful of the group of Infinity Stones. So this is why Marvel is taking so long to reveal the final Infinity Stone. So, let’s just wait and see what really the case is. Is it Wakanda that is still hiding the Stone or is it Heimdall or someone else.

The actual revelation of Soul Stone will be made in Avengers Infinity War, according to latest reports, but we know from the trailers that Thanos will get his hands on it and assemble the Infinity Gauntlet to destroy worlds, rewrite realities and literally become like GOD and rule the cosmos. Till now, no one knows where exactly it is located as neither the movie nor the post-credits of Black Panther showed anything even remotely related to Infinity Gems.
It is not clear as to how Mad Titan will retrieve the Soul stone but he will. The only ones standing between him and total destruction is Avengers and Guardians who will join forces to take down the most terrifying enemy they have ever faced – Thanos and his ravaging Black Order. Can Earthiest mightiest heroes along with Guardians stop Thanos from conquering and destroying Earth? Which Avengers will survive and which one (s) will die fighting the Mad Titan? All of these answers will be provided by Avengers Infinity War and Avengers 4 in times to come.
