Ant-Man And The Wasp Trailer Contains Major Avengers 4 Tease

The trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp, the sequel to Ant-Man has arrived and it has taken the internet by storm. And just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, we are happy to let you guys know that there is another piece of good news in the trailer.

The movie trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp may contain a potential tease for Avengers 4. Brace yourself for the ultimate easter-egg which will excite you even more for the Ant-Man sequel and Avengers 3 & 4.

Peyton reed’s phenomenal creation of Ant-Man that hit the screens a few years ago was one of the best additions to the ever-expanding MCU family. Ant-Man saw Scott Lang become the Ant-Man, a superhero who can alter his size to become incredibly small (or big) according to the situation at hand.

In Captain America: Civil War, Scott Lang again makes an appearance, with him siding with Team Cap and fighting against the government-backed Team Iron man. After the events of the movie, the entire team under Captain America escapes to Wakanda with only Scott willing to stay behind.

His reason is his one and only daughter. Scott can never imagine leaving his own daughter behind. So he surrenders to the authorities and is sent to the Raft – a superhuman prison.

After teaming up with Hank Pym and Hope Van Dyne (also fugitives now), they hatch up a plan to clear their names and save the world in the process. Adventure follows.

In the beginning scenes of the trailer for Ant-man and the Wasp, Scott and Hope are seen talking about a major scene from Civil War, the turning point of all their lives later on:

Scott: “I just have one question: When Cap needed help, if I’d asked you, would you have come?”

Hope: “I guess we’ll never know. But if you had, you’d have never been caught.”

Ant-Man and the Wasp take place somewhere between Civil War and Infinity War. The question asked by Scott holds grave importance for that matter. Hope answers to the question by saying that if she ‘had’ been with Lang during the AirPort battle in Civil War, things could have been different.

Does that mean Hope will be seen again in the Superhero battle royale? Or was she just bluffing? Marvel is known to mislead the audience with the trailers. If hope is indeed wrong, will we see the superhero fight in Civil War unfold in a different way once Hope joins Team Cap?

Avengers 4 is about to introduce time travel into the mix. That much has already been confirmed. Several key points in MCU movie history are about to be revisited.

The Airport battle was one of the most significant ones. So it is prudent to believe that Ant-Man and the Wasp will include some element of it. The Time Travel element is being used keeping in mind that the MCU needs to reintroduce the X-Men and the Fantastic Four into the MCU mix.

There were two newcomer individuals whose life was forever altered after Captain America: Civil War – Spiderman and Ant-Man. While Spiderman ended up on being in the winning team, he made a good name for himself. Team Cap, of which Ant-Man was a member, lost the fight.

As a result, it was a real life-changing event for Ant-Man. Because he sided with the rebels, Ant-Man has been labeled as ‘War Criminal’ and in violation of the Sokovia Accords. He is under arrest. If only he could have Hope for help, her Wasp suit could have made at least some sort of difference to the outcome.

Tom Holland aka Peter Parker was asked if he were to team up with a Marvel superhero in Homecoming sequel who will it be, here’s what he said:

“For me? It would be Ant-Man. I think we could have a really fun time with Spider-Man and Ant-Man. A mini-Spider-Man could be really interesting and so cool. Swinging from that Coke bottle to that glass as he gestures to a coffee table in front of him, but making it look like Manhattan would be insane. It would be a really amazing way to start off the movie. You see Spider-Man swinging around in like Rome or something and he suddenly grows and it turns out he was on a model.”

Hope was never a part of the Avengers in any movie. She wasn’t seen in Civil War nor will she be seen in Infinity War. Ant-Man and the Wasp will be released only after two months of Thanos gracing the screens with his Infinity Gauntlet. That will surely have a lasting and permanent impact on the MCU.

Hope may not have been in Civil War but with talk of time travel, she could be. And who knows maybe her being there could result in a different timeline and make all the difference to create a drastically different outcome?!?!? She is the Wasp after all. Maybe Scott Lang with the Wasp’s help never gets captured in the new timeline.

Evangeline Lilly aka The Wasp revealed interesting details about the upcoming sequel. She confirmed about her journey with Scott Lang through Quantum realm. Here’s what she said:

“When I heard about Infinity War and the direction that they’re heading, I did have this moment of realizing, oh, wow, there’s a bit of a déjà vu for me with the Lost franchise. We are hitting that Lost Season 4 space where everything’s about to shift, and you’re about to lose the solid ground underneath you. And Ant-Man and the Wasp, of course, will play a part in that. Those characters are experts in the quantum realm}. In Ant-Man and the Wasp, they are trying everything in their power to safely enter the Quantum Realm and return back from it because they have evidence from the first film that Scott Lang was able to do that. If he can do it, why can’t we? If we do succeed in Ant-Man and the Wasp, then that does open a whole entire new multi-verse to enter into and play around in. I’m not the story creator, so I can’t tell you what they’re going to do with that. But I definitely see the potential there.”

The official synopsis for the movie has been released by Marvel studios, read it below:

“From the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes Ant-Man and The Wasp, a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink. In the aftermath of Captain America: Civil War, Scott Lang grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a super hero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside the Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from the past”.

Ant-Man and The Wasp is set to be released on July 6, 2018. We just can’t wait to see follow up to an amazing start of a new Marvel franchise. It was a pleasant surprise but now expectations are high and the sequel has to deliver the goods. CHEERS!
