The Snyder Cut of Justice League Confirmed To Exist

Justice League had hit the theatres in November and the reaction of the fans was amazing. The movie Justice League is really great according to the fans and each and every moviegoer whether he/she is a comic book fan or not come out having a good time watching the movie. The movie surely had its flaws but it is safe to say that it is a step in the right direction.

Still most of the fans were pissed about the fact that so many scenes from the movie were cut in order to make it 2 hours long for its theatrical release. The fact that led Zack Snyder’s tragic exit from the movie made way for Joss Whedon to step in and finish what Snyder had left. This led to Whedon making alterations and changing bits of the movie as he and the studio deemed fit in order to shorten it for the release.

After seeing the theatrical cut, a huge enraged fan base demanded Zack Snyder’s Cut of the movie which was reported to be 2 hours and 45 minutes long. Well, till now, the studios have denied that such a cut of the film even exists. Their verdict has been that it is not a finished cut and therefore cannot be released.

Recently, there were reports of an extended cut of Justice League, which League is likely on its way as a new listing on Amazon Germany indicates that home media release of Justice League will feature an extended cut.

Different countries get a somewhat different variant when movies come out for home release and researchers have found that an extended cut for Justice League will come out in Germany.  This listing states the runtime of the movie to be 135 minutes, which means the movie would be 15 minutes longer than the theatrical cut we got to see.

But that’s all, and there has been no news about the Snyder Cut of the movie, until now.  Fans have wanted an unaltered version of the movie ever since the theatrical release and many people who have worked on the movie have supported the cause by confirming the existence of a director’s cut.

Richard Citrone – Ben Affleck’s Stunt Double

Stunt worker Richard Cetrone, who has worked on every movie in DC Films’ library since Man of Steel has been encouraging fans to continue demanding the movie studio to release the Snyder cut. He responded on Facebook confirming the existence of a “Snyder Cut” of Justice League. Cetrone is known for regularly filling the shoes of Ben Affleck in the Bat Costume doing all the difficult stunt work for him. Here is what he said:

“Please pass along to your group my thanks for their passion in supporting Zack. Tell them I know for a fact that a Zack Snyder cut does exist and with the help of people like you and your group we can hopefully persuade WB to release it. Thanks again.

Obviously, it does not officially confirm the existence of the director’s cut as WB has not officially announced it. Just the people who have been working closely alongside Zack Snyder have supported the cause for the fans demanding for the original cut of the movie. This has just been the latest update in the story of the existence of such a cut of Justice League.

Cetrone who has been supporting this fan-lead petition also clarified his reason for posting such a statement online, on his social media page. Here is what he wrote:

“So I probably should have written this when I put up this post, but I want to make it clear now. I have nothing against Joss Whedon. I have worked with Joss on multiple projects and I think he is a great director and he’s very easy to work with. I also have enjoyed Danny Elfman’s music for years going back to Oingo Boingo. So I agree with the cause, but not everything the person who wrote out the petition is stating.”

Well, we’ve heard both sided of the card, but it is still a matter of believing. Until and unless WB officially confirms it, it is just a matter of hear-say. But we can only hope for the best and see if WB listens to fan demands.
