New Avengers 4 Set Photos Reveal Huge Spoilers

Avengers Infinity War is an upcoming Marvel movie which will feature over 40 comic-book characters that we admire and have grown up loving since childhood. For the first time, we will see all of them in a single movie which is touted to be the greatest extravaganza ever put on screen.

It will mark the culmination of everything that has happened in the MCU till now and bring closure to all the storylines that are going on currently. The Infinity War saga will be in two parts and the second movie is still untitled and will be released in May 2019. The makers believe that title will be revealed at the right time as it’s a huge spoiler for now. Till now we have seen Mad Titan in post-credits and teasers but in Avengers Infinity War we will see him taking matters into his own hand and come to planet Earth in search of Infinity Gems. There are six Infinity stones and out of which five have already been discovered. The Soul Gem is yet to be found which is speculated to be in Wakanda which we shall see in Black Panther solo movie coming in February 2018.

The first part will be from Team Avengers perspective as they are overwhelmed by the sheer force of Thanos and Black Order as they are destroying cities and slaughtering people. The next part will be from Thanos’ perspective as he will assemble the all-powerful Infinity gauntlet and almost becomes invincible. This will force Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy to join forces against a tyrant to save the mankind. Avengers: Infinity War is less than 4 months away and we are still unaware of so many things that are in store for us. What is more interesting is that Avengers 4 is just about to wrap up shooting in about a week or 2, and recently, many photos from the set have hit the internet that brings a lot of things into light which the fans weren’t expecting.

The new set photos primarily show Robert Downey Jr’s Tony Stark, Chris Evans’ Captain America, Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man and Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk on the set of Avengers 4. What is interesting over here is the clothes which all these characters are wearing.

Evans is in his Captain America suit which we saw back in the first Avengers movie. Downey is wearing a normal SHIELD outfit, similar to the one which we saw in set photos a while ago.

Ruffalo is in his mo-cap suit which indicates that Hulk will be present in this scene. Rudd is in his brand new Ant-Man suit. All four of them have mo-cap tracking dots placed on their outfits. Now, this raises so many eyebrows as it brings in so many theories into play. First, it supports the theory of time travel that has been prevailing throughout the internet for months. This scene could very well be set up during the time of the first Avengers movie as Cap is in his old suit.

Now, we don’t know how Time-travel will be handled in this movie. Will the consciousness of these heroes go back in time to their younger selves just like what happened in X-Men Days of Future Past, or will they physically go back in time? We just don’t know yet. By the looks of it, the latter suits more.

But the question over here arises is that what is Ant-Man doing here, and that too in his new suit. Did he travel back in time along with these other three Avengers? It could not be the consciousness thing because there is no way Ant-Man could be present in this scene then. So, it seems that these heroes have in fact traveled in time. But Why? This is a question we might get answers for in Infinity War.

The second theory that comes to light over here is the multiverse theory. Just like in DC, where there are multiple universes, multiple Earths, Doctor Strange and Ant-Man’s quantum realm opened up the scope of having a multiverse in the MCU as well. These 4 Avengers could in fact on a different Earth or some of the Avengers from Earth 2 could have come to Earth 1 to fight against Thanos because the doppelgangers of the Avengers like Captain America might die in Infinity War. Well, this is a long shot but who knows, it is the MCU and anything could happen considering we are expected to expect the unexpected.

The third theory is that this is not a scene of the past or presents anywhere in the multiverse for that matter. This could be a scene of the present day, with only Steve Rogers wearing his old suit from Avengers. The presence of Ant-Man totally supports this theory.

Now, the reasons why these theories arise are because of Cap’s old suit, and a very particular factor which seems to be common in all these characters.

If you take a closer look, Captain America, Tony Stark and Ant-Man, all three of them are wearing a device on their hands which seems to be a tech we don’t yet know about. We don’t know what these things do.

They could be devices that allow them to stay in the past until the time they need to. Or these could even help them stay put in the place where they are present in the Multiverse. Or they might be for some other purpose if they are in fact standing in the present times.

We don’t see one on Ruffalo’s hand, well because of the fact that he is the huge Green Rage monster and this device could be CGId on Hulk’s hand in the final product when we see it on the big screen.

Well, who knows what the case is, but the major spoiler over here may be that none of these Avengers die in Avengers: Infinity War. Or do they? But what is certain is that Avengers 4 will tie everything in one amazing knot and end the MCU phase 3 with a bang. On being asked about phase 3 and future of MCU, the Marvel President Kevin Feige had this to say:

“I think it is overdue. I also think that was a particular event to really announce and showcase Phase Three and I guess set up the expectation of doing something like that every few years… But the notion we are sitting here talking and we have, what, six films yet to be released? That’s more than almost any other single production entity in town has on the docket. That should be enough.”

He added:

“Well, all I’ll say is the films we are working on now — which take us through to the Avengers Untitled in May of ’19 — that’s really all we are focusing on. And we are focusing on bringing, by that point, an unprecedented, 22-movie, continuous shared fictional narrative to a conclusion in a satisfying way.”

He ended by saying “Marvel Studios has a new direction filled with “good stories” beyond Phase 3. How we start anew and wherever we go beyond that is a story for another time. This is really about 10 years on, bringing something to a head in a satisfying and unexpected way.”
