Superheroes go to any level to get things done whether spoiling evil plans of archenemies to blowing them into bits. And they have always reflected a true spirit in saving humanity and people from criminality. Some of them possess god-like powers and prove to be the ultimate saviors, but when they are at the worst, they whisk some trouble. So here we bring you fifteen Marvel superheroes who have beaten the shit out of gods.
Magneto defeats Apocalypse
There have been several timelines that have been interlinked with each other. In one of the instances X-Men attack Apocalypse’s fortification, where Magneto, with the help of Bishop, manages to a correct timeline. After a while, the son of Scott Summers and Jean Grey, Nat Grey, joins the fight. Later on, Magneto kills Apocalypse by blasting him in air.
Black Bolt Kills Apocalypse
In a Mutant politics event, Magneto wanted to take down Black Panther and after a failed assassination attempt by Sabertooth on Black Panther, Magneto looks to another ally: Apocalypse. Even though Namor and some others were able to slow him down, the big guy eventually makes it to Wakanda. But when he gets there, a ver loud surprise was waiting for him. Black Bolt had an ambush set up, and when the time was right, he opened his mouth and obliterated Apocalypse. Then Black Panther joked that it must have been nice to speak a syllable.
Adam Warlock takes down Thanos
Adam Warlock once had Soul Gem and this was the last Gem that Thanos needed to deteriorate the universe. Later on, Thanos manages to trap Avengers in a certain time and injure Warlock. But after being interrupted by The Thing and Spider-Man, Thanos is turned into a stone before Soul Gem was pulled back.
Nick Fury killed Utau the Watcher
In 2014-15’s Crossover, “Original Sin” Marvel characters pursued a trail of dead bodies, beginning with Uatu the Watcher and extending outwards to alien hordes and demigods in other dimensions. Eventually, it was revealed that Nick Fury killed the Watcher and all the other insane other-dimensional beings and aliens.
Thor is killed by The Serpent
Serpent is actually Odin’s brother, Cul. And it is not at all easy to kill Thor, but this too has happened more than one time. Here Thor and Serpent trade blows but what happens, in the end, is, when the might by weakened Thor hits Serpent, he too falls, both Gods die at the same time.
Thor Kills Hercules
When a deadly virus causes everyone to have a hunger for human flesh, the world’s heroes had lost hope that anyone would be able to find a cure for that. During that event Hercules bursts from the ground along with some trolls. Everyone was a freaking cannibal in this story arc. Hawkeye along with Doom and Thor managed to suppress the assault, with Thor bringing down Hercules with a good bash from Mjolnir.
Hank Pym Kills Galactus
In The Marvel Zombies series, after Silver Surfer comes to earth, superhero zombies feel that they possess some of Surfer’s Power Cosmic. Later on, Bruce Banner, Luke Cage, Captain America, Tony Stark, Wolverine and Peter Parker, along with Hank Pym work on a Power Cosmic amplifier in Pym’s lab. The blast emitted from the amplifier cut through Galactus and kills him.
New Fantastic Four defeated Thanos
The new Fantastic Four including Wolverine, Spider-man, Iron man and Hulk once fought the Mad Titan who had wielded the Infinity Gauntlet and as usual wanted to impress Death with it. But even with all this power, The Mad Titan still fell. It happened when Wolverine replaced Mephisto as Thanos’ advisor, and betrayed him and cutting off the arm bearing the Infinity Gauntlet. Disarmed and vulnerable, the Hulk smashed him to bits before Spider-Man donned the gauntlet and restored the world to the way it was.
Thor Kills Bor
Loki has always been a bane for Thor and looked for ways to make him feel bad. In Thor #600, Odin’s father, Bor was brought up back to life and that’s when Loki’s evil mind look out for a battle with his brother Thor. After a while, Bor gets boiled up after seeing Thor using Odinforce. But he had no choice other than killing his grandfather.
Odin, Thor and Loki kill Surtur
During the events of “The Mighty Thor” in 1980s, a brawl happened between Odin and Surtur, the fire demon lord of Muspelheim, and he had come to have his fiery vengeance on Odin, the Allfather of Asgard. For the occasion, Loki and Thor put aside their differences and fought side-by-side with Odin. In the end, however, Odin pulls a sacrificial move and falls off a never-ending cliff clinging to Surtur, to prevent him from infecting the world with his evil again.
Void defeats Loki
Loki, after seeing what all he had done in ‘Dark Reign’ come to be sorry for his actions, as this time, Void was unleashed, who put Asgard in a lot of danger, this much destruction had never been caused to their home planet. Not just that Loki using the Nors stones here, brings back the dead heroes in order for them to have a second take at Void. Witnessing what the trickster had done, Void becomes infuriated and turns towards him, before being torn into two by him, Loki apologizes to Thor for all the menace he created.
Dr. Doom killed Ankhenaten
An unknown force once manifested itself in the form of Egyptian pharaoh Ankhenaten and most of the world’s leaders (including George W. Bush, Saddam Hussein, and others) and superheroes were either rendered ineffective, or killed outright. That’s when Doom and Thanos take action. Dr. Doom and Thanos then went back in time in order to defeat Ankhenaten. Thanos then confronts Ankhenaten in the Astral form and while he was distracted, Dr. Doom goes back even further in time and takes aim at the spaceship that abducted the pharaoh thousands of years ago. Doom destroys the ship, effectively killing Ankhenaten in the past and erasing his very existence in that timeline.
Drax kills Thanos
Thanos here is disintegrated by his enemy, or we should call him someone who just was created in order to end Thanos, Drax. Drax kills Thanos, who then comes in the form of Death, who again is his lover and has a special relationship with him. When he returns, Drax again kills him, only for him to return again, Thanos again is put to rest but survives, and Nova and Star Lord try their hardest to keep him in the collapsing universe.
Sentry Takes down Ares
In the 2010 miniseries, Osborn strikes again taking control over the govt. and killing all those who oppose him. One of his allies Sentry is manipulated to take control of Asgard, where he is faced by the Olympian warrior, Ares. Both have a duel and in the end, Sentry rips Ares open leaving all his internal organs everywhere. This was too dark for Marvel’s taste.
Deadpool defeats Thor
The Merc with The Mouth is now one of the most-loved Marvel superheroes. After winging his way through 2016’s movie of the same name, Deadpool has appeared as invincible. In ‘Deadpool Kills The Marvel Universe’. Deadpool faces the Avengers and uses Pym particles. It was hard for him to defeat Thor, but he manages to enlarge Mjolnir and tuck Thor beneath the hammer.
