Iron Man’s Infinity War Suits Have Insane Abilities

The Iron Man trilogy starring Robert Downey Jr. has been a great success for Marvel Cinematic Universe and since then the craze for Tony Stark and RDJ has reached the seventh sky. He has made a total seven appearances in MCU movies that include Iron Man (2008), Iron Man 2 (2010), The Avengers (2012), Iron Man 3 (2013), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Captain America: Civil War (2016), and Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) as well as a cameo in Incredible Hulk (2008).

Marvel studios deliberate chose to start its cinematic universe with the Iron Man movie as they wanted the over-arching plot to revolve around Tony Stark/Iron Man. Their gamble has paid off and Iron Man has indeed become the sole anchor of the entire universe with other superheroes poured in as supporting characters. He is the most admirable and a recognizable face in the MCU, no wonder he carries a lot on his shoulders.

Iron Man is a spoilt billionaire son turned superhero who joined “The Avengers” because it’s cool to save the world. He is the most popular Marvel superhero and in a way, the sole anchor of the entire MCU with other superheroes poured in as supporting characters. He is an over-confident, impulsive guy with the high-IQ. In Extremis comic-book series, we saw Iron Man can sustain almost any injury, access brain’s repair center for the rapid healing process. He could even regrow organs.

He has gone through dozens of armors in his life that were made for special circumstances or for fighting against a special enemy.  It’s pretty obvious that Iron Man armor will need a major upgrade as his suits don’t operate in space (we saw that in The Avengers when he was carrying nuclear missile on his shoulders).

Over the years, the suit has had major upgrades in terms of technology. In comics, Tony Stark was given the power to forge weapons using Asgardian resources. He devoted himself to learn about Uru, forged 8 weapons from the materials and infused his Extremis armor with the divine will of Odin, which is the same stuff used to make Thor’s hammer Mjolnir.

The Iron Man suits have been bringing up new unimaginable technologies and abilities with every new movie. Iron Man has come very far after building his first suit in a cave. It actually looks like garbage in front of Tony’s new suits.

Recently in the set photos, we saw Iron Man’s new suit and it looks pretty dope.

We also saw Tony wearing a very cool looking black and orange suit which half of the people get confused with, thinking of it as a new kind of CGI suit.

Set photos showing Tony’s Suits in Infinity War

The Black and orange suit is not a CGI suit, instead, it is the suit that provides Tony Stark with new abilities. We all know that Tony fixed his heart problem by removing all the shrapnel from his body, taking out the Arc reactor from his chest. Now in the photo above, if we focus clearly, we can see that the Arc reactor is actually attached to the cloth Tony is wearing.

We saw in Captain America Civil War, the upgrades Tony made to his tech and suit. Tony made an entire gauntlet grow out of what we thought was just a watch.

And now Tony does not need to remove his helmet while wearing the suit, the helmet just folds and fits right into the suit.

Now, what is really insane about Tony’s new suit is that it is actually MCU’s version of the iconic Extremis Armor from the comics. The Extremis armor actually has the ability to hide in Tony’s body.

While it sounds a little too unrealistic for the movie, Marvel has worked on it and will give us a new form of Extremis Armor as the armor will be installed within the arc reactor fitted on the cloth that is mentioned above. Tony will be able to transform into Iron Man anytime he wants as the Armor will come out of the clothes he is wearing.

The Extremis Armor And The Infinity War Poster

Also if you notice, the new suit is very close to the body as compared to Tony’s previous suits in this new Infinity War poster, and so is the Extremis Armor in the comics. Hopefully, Marvel gives out a trailer for Infinity War at Comic-Con and some insight about the new suit.

Other than this, Iron Man is also going to have another Armor which is as big as the Hulkbuster. It is good that Marvel is bringing in that kind of an armor once again as it seemed pretty rushed in Avengers: Age of Ultron. The fight between Hulk and the Hulkbuster was totally insane, but it did feel kind of short.

The Armor was not explored as much as the audiences would have liked. it will be great to see something like that on the big screen once again. it will be Marvel’s Version of the Mark LI: Model Prime Armor and will be the strongest suit we have ever seen.

The Model Prime suit in the comics has multiple abilities. The armor may not be wired directly to Tony Stark’s physiology, but it still boasts some amazing abilities: all of the standard Iron Man weapons are present, a new on-board cloaking system was installed and the suit can work autonomously if the pilot is injured.

Most impressively, the suit can change shape at a moment’s notice – there’s hardly a need for a dedicated Hulkbuster suit when the Model-Prime armor can simply bulk up on command.

An Armor with this ability would be extremely amazing to watch as the stakes would be really higher in the movie. A bigger villain would need a bigger armor for defense and offense.

It would be really amazing if the abilities of this armor are properly explored in the movie. Thanos and the Black Order will have great competition if this suit is fully utilized in the movie against them.

This suit was actually featured in the D23 Expo footage of Infinity war. These two outrageously powerful armors in one movie! God save the ones who will cross paths against Iron Man this time because he is bringing on the full monty. How do you feel about the new Iron Man suits? Tell us in the comments.
