Aquaman is a classic DC Superhero who is also the founding member of Justice League. He is the King of Atlantis who possess telepathic powers. He has the ability to command all sea life and has mighty strength and speed. He can survive on land and in the depths of oceans with extreme temperatures. In DC Cinematic universe, the character of Aquaman is played by Jason Mamoa (KhalDrogo, Game of Thrones). He was briefly introduced in Batman v Superman but is going to make an official debut in Justice League followed by a solo movie.
San-Diego Comic-Con 2017 is just a few weeks away, with Marvel & DC film-makers preparing for the big event. An anonymous source who is working at the company TrailerPark had this to say online:
“I work for trailerpark and I’ve seen the Aquaman teaser that WB is gonna show at SDCC. It was around 1min 30 secs long I don’t know exactly sorry I wasn’t on the team that cut the teaser. I only got to watch it once so I can’t go into too much detail. It opens with some mellow piano music, showing Amnesty Bay with a voice over from Momoa. The music then turns cinematic, Zimmer style I would say. We get various shots of the characters, Mera, Murk etc. The teaser ended with a really really cool scene of Arthur standing on a rock type thing and activates his trident and creates a massive wave. Not using throwaway because I don’t really like working for TP tbh….”
It is yet to be confirmed by the WB, but it seems credible. The movie is under production for quite some time now, but there is no official synopsis that is released yet by the makers. James Wan, the director of the movie, has said that it will be a “coming of age” story which would also touch upon 1980’s classic romance elements much like “Romancing the Stone”.
The movie is expected to be released on December 21, 2018.
