5 Major Instances Where Batman Was Forced To Kill

Batman only has one rule, he doesn’t kill. Well, most of the times that is. Because there has been a lot many times when either he chooses to kill or is forced to kill. Some of those instances are listed below:

Sets Criminals On Fire

In this arc a sociopath Batman kills a lot of goons, what’s the worst part of this kill is that he kills these criminals by brutally burning them alive, completely going against his code. But that’s not the end of it, after this, he has sex with the Black Canary just a few meters away from the burning and screaming men. Talk about having no control.

Shoots Darkseid

Well, this one was actually a pretty forced one. Where Darkseid has defeated all the big superheroes of the DC universe and has wrecked havoc in the entire universe. What’s bad is that there is no powerful hero to stop him, so Batman shoots a cosmic bullet to his head, restoring all the universe to how it was before Darkseid started with all the carnage.

Suffocates Lord Death Man

Lord Death Man came from the Bat-Manga, and he sure was a tough cookie to break, Hw couldn’t be killed and because of this no matter how many times Bats fought him, it was worthless, so the smart detective locks LDM in a spacecraft and sends him to outer space, where he dies and comes alive only to die again, all this while he’s orbiting the Earth.

All His Villains In The Early Days

Well, in his early days the Batman loved killing. He shot people, threw them off cliffs or simply beat them to death, what was the worst death though, when Bats hangs a criminal from the Batwing (his plane) and says,”He’s better off this way” That is pure savage folks!

Strangling The Joker

Well, no one is sure about this one as it is open to interpretation if in the end of ‘The Killing Joke’ Batman actually strangles the Joker. This is when after Bats asks Joker to come to the good side and the clown prince of mayhem refuses and tells Bats a joke, after which, to everyone’s surprise, Batsy laughs along with Joker. the laughter stops as the police sirens approach, meaning one thing that Bats actually strangled the Joker.
