2. The Worst Witch
The Worst Witch is set in a mystical school for youthful witches and wizards. An extremely youthful Fairuza Balk plays Mildred, an understudy who experiences difficulty controlling her forces. One day she unearths an evil arrangement by another witch to assume control over the school, and Mildred must face her forces to spare the day. Charlotte Rae, Tim Curry and Dame Diana Rigg round out the cast, while Annie writer Charles Strouse contributed the music.
