Last week proved to be a boon for every Wolverine fan. The first official image for the upcoming movie was released along with the official movie title LOGAN. The alleged plot line was also scooped up by The Wrap. The luck does not end there as a mysterious Instagram page has popped up called “wponx” which has posted set pictures for the last Wolverine adventure. It was later confirmed to be the official Logan Instagram.
Wponx has posted three images that have caught many fan’s eyes. One picture showed a severed arm grasping a gun captioned with just the words “Aftermath.” It most likely belongs to an unfortunate henchman who suffered Wolverine’s wrath. Another picture showed a facility, complete with razor wire and tall fences with a sign in Spanish which roughly translates to “It’s forbidden by law to trespass or loiter in this area.” The third image posted showed a neon-lit motel in the reflection of a puddle at night.
Although the pictures do not explain much, the capture glimpses of the upcoming film. The teaser pictures bring out many questions about the movie. The facility picture, for instance, has been speculated to be Weapon X, a program which transformed James Howlett into Wolverine aka Logan. It was in this facility that he gained an adamantium skeleton and claws. The program also created Deadpool and Sabertooth.
The pictures also continue to prove the fan rumor that the last Wolverine movie was based on the Old Man Logan story arc. James Mangold, director of Logan had posted a picture of Patrick Stewart as Professor X in his Twitter, seemingly adding fuel to the burning fire. The supposed storyline included a weak and old Professor X, not able to take control of his powers and under the care of an alcoholic Logan.
