Deathstroke Creator Gives His Blessings To Actor Joe Manganiello

Deathstroke has become a topic on every DCEU fan’s lips after the confirmation that he would be making his on screen debut. Ben Affleck had teased fans last month by posting a small clip with the mercenary assassin in it that caused a chaos amongst fans. Affleck never commented on his post, but it was later announced that Deathstroke will be part of the solo Batman movie.

Zack Snyder just posted a picture that may also indicate a Deathstroke appearance in the new Justice League movie. Actor Joe Manganiello has been confirmed to play the role of Deathstroke for the big screen. The actor seems enthused with his new part as he also posted two picture full of Deathstroke figurines and comic books which he called research. The actor has long been acquainted with the superhero world as he was up for the part of Superman in Man Of Steel. And although Henry Cavill got that part, we are glad that Manganiello didn’t, as it seems like the actor is a perfect fit for the role.

And fans are not the only ones who seem excited to see the actor on screen. Deathstroke creator Marv Wolfman tweeted to the actor to share his excitement and also gave his blessings for the role. Wolfman created the comic book villain with George Perez in 1980. Deathstroke got his first introduction in The New Teen Titans and became a super villain that the Titans had to face.

Deathstroke then got promoted to superhero comics such as Batman and The Justice League.
The old comic book writers of Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman were unfortunately not alive to see their creations be made into a movie, but the new crop of writers have been fortunate to witness and also give their blessings for the on-screen personas of their creations. Harley Quinn creator Paul Dini has spoken positively about Margot Robbie’s portrayal and Suicide Squad creator John Ostrander has also done the same. Now its all in the hands of Affleck and Snyder to find out how the mercenary killer will look like on screen.
