A character of a film is what makes us glue to the big screens and it is the foremost element of a film around which the story revolves. The first introduction of a film decides the interest of what people feel about the film. Bad character introduction gives a bad feeling about the rest of story plot. We bring you four different best character introduction of all time we have loved watching it.
General routine introduction
This kind of introduction gives us a quick tour of the character, starting with the morning routine. The sequence of shots brings anticipation and suspense until we meet the hero. The introduction by parts is what makes us think only of the character for a moment like wearing a tie, donning a suit and other day-to-day routines. For example – Indiana Jones, which starred Harrison Ford.
Surprising introduction
Unlike of the routine introduction, sometimes characters appear abruptly in the narration in more surprising ways and suddenly grab our attention with their outfit and the expression they present just fascinate us like Judy Rodh in The Fifth Element, Strangelove from Dr. Strangelove and The Joker from The Dark Knight.
Singular Moment
Some characters appear for a single moment with camera pans sideways giving a more royal impression just like Captain Jack Sparrow from The Pirates of the Carribean: The Curse of The Black Pearl, who is seen standing above the sinking boat mast and Bronson who says he wanted to be famous.
Action introductions
Some of the characters in the movies appear in action, not with any image just like in Hellboy, when the character saves a cat, which tells more about the nature of the character whether he is kind and a very wicked person and another example is when Marion Ravenwood is drinking and being introduced in the Raiders of The Lost Ark.
