Captain America: Civil War is one of the biggest blockbusters of 2016. With an impressive estimation of $1.132 billion dollars at the box office, the movie made Marvel Studios a pretty penny. And the success has led to the discussion of a crossover. Marvel is known for its many crossover movies, where will we next see the American Hero? That is the question that was asked to Captain America star Chris Evans by MTV International.
The actor had a very interesting idea about where he would like to see The Captain in next:
“Guardians would be fun, wouldn’t it?” Evans replied, referring to the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. But, he added, “it’s very outer space-y. Cap’s more of an Earth-bound guy.”
The actor then finally made his decision with Spider-Man:Homecoming being the movie he wanted to see his alter ego in:
“Maybe the next Spider-Man [films]. Those are going to be fantastic, and I think Tom [Holland]’s just a great actor, so that might be a fun one to pop up into,” he added.
Tom Holland was the breakout star in Civil War with all cast members praising the young actor for his portrayal of Spider-Man and fans being quite satisfied with the teen star.Holland has been busy shooting the new film Spider-Man: Homecoming with Jon Watts helming the film.
Fellow Avenger Robert Downey Jr. a.k.a Tony Stark/ Iron Man is also set to star in the movie. And given the volatile interaction between the two heroes in Civil War and the fact that Spider-Man was Team Iron Man, it’s highly doubtful that Captain America would actually make a cameo appearance in Homecoming. The Russo brothers who directed Civil War have already discussed how they are handling the repercussions of the Avengers downfall in Avengers: Infinity War, so the Captain will have to lay low in the cameo front to prepare for the upcoming war.
