The Oscar-winning actor, Leonardo Dicaprio, seemed to be a choice of everyone to play a comic-book character in superhero movies. And we think he should don a comic character. As he has never played any comic character, it would be hard to tell whether he would be evil or good. Dicaprio earlier said that he might play any comic-book charter in future. In a report by The Geek Twins, he said: “You never know. They're getting better and better as far as complex characters in these movies. I haven't yet. But no, I don't rule out anything.” We bring you four comic-book characters that Leonardo DiCaprio almost played. 1. Robin - Batman Forever(1995) Dicaprio almost donned the role of Batman’s sidekick, Robin. He was shortlisted by director Joel Schumacher for the role, but he didn’t appear for the screen-test. After meeting Schumacher, Dicaprio said in the report: "I don't think I was ready for anything like that. The role went to Chris O'Donnell and he starred in that film, and the sequel Batman and Robin, which became the most important superhero movie ever.” 2. Captain America - Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) There several actors on the list for the role of Captain America and Dicaprio was one of them. The studio wanted Dicaprio to don wear Captain America’s outfit, but it was later landed in the hands of Chris Evans. 3. Spider-Man - Spider-Man (2002) Dicaprio missed out the most iconic role of Spider-Man in 2002. Just like he turned down the role Robin, he said he was not fit to don a superhero suit. In an interview, he said: “That was another one of those situations, similar to Robin, where I didn't feel ready to put on that suit yet.” 4. The Riddler - The Dark Knight Rises(2012) Leo added the role of supervillain The Riddler, to his I-am-not-ready-for list. The actor was again shortlisted for a superhero role in the sequel to Batman Returns, but he didn't get the role and Bane (Tom Hardy) entered in the movie for the iconic role.
