Avengers Infinity War: Steve Rogers Is No Longer Captain America

Steve Rogers, also dubbed as Captain America, will bid adieu to his shield and we won’t be seeing it again in the third installment of Avengers franchise. Directors Joe and Anthony Russo has just confirmed this sad new hurting the feelings of Marvel fans.

“I think him dropping that shield is him letting go of that identity. [It’s] him admitting that certainly, the identity of Captain America was in conflict with the very personal choice that he was making,” said Joe Russo in a report filed by Huffington Post.

Remember, at the end of the Civil War when Captain America(Steve Rogers) and Iron Man(Robert Downey Jr) combat with each other, with Captain ending up the leaving his shield, well, we won’t be seeing him again.

Well, it does not mean that Rogers will be leaving the Infinity War. According to Movie Web, writer Christopher Markus has said that the point where Captain was not killed is because Avengers want him.

“There’s a big purple guy coming. He could be very helpful,” said Markus said in a report by The Wrap.

And guess who ? None other than Thanos.

According to a report by Huffington Post, we might get to see Rogers turning into The Nomad, which come about in the Marvel Comics after Captain gets disappointed with the government, which certainly happened in Civil War.

Well, there is no confirmation about that, but optimistically we’ll get to know about it as Avengers: Infinity War begins the production.

The team will begin production on Avengers: Infinity War  on May 4, 2018, which is scheduled to be shot with another Avengers movie on May 3, 2019. Well, directors have also left another clue that most of the Marvel Cinematic Universe characters will unite and they will be appearing at some point.

Captain America: Civil War is set to be released on Blu-Ray and DVD on Sept. 13. Fans will be able to purchase for digital download on Sept. 2.
